THE NAB Cup has lost its financial shine, with Saturday night's victor taking home just over half of the bounty awarded to St Kilda in 2008.
The Saints or the Western Bulldogs will be $180,000 richer, with the runner-up receiving $120,000.
Yet St Kilda collected $350,000 two years ago for winning the pre-season competition.

Wester Bulldogs president David Smorgon says success in Saturday night's NAB Cup grand final will be just a small step towards the team's bigger goals.
