I hate twilight games and Sunday is the worst.

Just out of curiosity, would you prefer Sunday twilight games to Monday night ones?

I guess Sunday twilight is better than Monday night, also better for the teams recovery.

Positive I see is only 1 week of no footy between NAB CUP and Round 1 of the Season :)

I like Sundays(the only games I can get to Melbourne to see), so the more the better for me.

I like that order ... Big win over GWS to start gives us a huge confidence boost as we take on the colliwobbles.

Kind confused with the Nab Cup Draw this year.
It goes from the 3 team pool to games already set the following 2 weeks?

Yeah something like Sydney did last year, beat them 83-4

Yeah it's the 2 short games the first week (Pies and GWS), followed by full length matches in weeks 2 & 3 (Carlton & North). Kind of a round robin thing, rather than knockout.
Best 2 teams by wins and percentage after the 4 matches play off in the grand final.

So theoretically whoever plays GWS in full length games and wins their other ones will be a shoe in to make the GF.

Good point. Put your money on Hawthorn or Gold Coast for the NAB Cup then!

GC still need to get past Brisbane and Melbourne in round robin and Geelong the following week, Hawks good bet though.

Did anyone watch the game last night? (GC v Cats)
Wondering how Jeagar O'Meara (not sure about spelling) went?

I saw a little bit and he went ok, kicked a nice goal. The only bad thing that happen was it sparked Healy into a debate about underage players playing at the top level. Maybe something for another thread but he didn't look out of place there.

Watched some and O'meara's just got that superstar quality.
How good is that Geelong recruiting?
They should name a stand and have a statue of Stephen Wells at the ground.

I went and watched the Coll v St.Kilda game this arvo.... As much as I think we are going to battle the Saints will be down with us, they look they are going to struggle big time.

I still don't like the three way first round of the cup but removing the knockout nature and having more meaningful games seemed a winner for me.. And fox of course..

The final two teams have worked out well for us as we play them round 1 & 2. I don't care who wins but I hope they smash each other.

With Le Cras down and Nickoski doing a serious hammy tonight, Josh Hill will get plenty of opportunities as the mid forward target this season. Has kicked 2.6 tonight - looked dangerous all night.

Will be a massive first two rounds. Both teams looked pretty good tonight.

Presented well, just couldn't kick straight. Be interesting to see who we play on him in round 1.

Whoever does should ask if Woosha has reminded him to stand the mark.

You missed him pulling a pretty bad hammy, he couldn't walk off the field.

Part of me is thinking "Poor fella", the other part is thinking "Whoo hoo!"... ;)
*Please note, I don't take any enjoyment from another player's injury...*evil chuckle*
