You'd have to watch the movie twice to be sure who he is. He is an anti hero in that he's a dag, a non entity really except for the fact he is a Mexican migrant, a fringedweller like the autistic/asperger Napoleon (not so) Dynamite. Napoleon helps Pedro to be voted school captain in a campaign atmosphere that only the USofA could produce, bells and whistles and a blonde WASP cheerleader type as an opponent. Against the odds the
'Vote for Pedro' campaigners win thanks to a great dance routine from the otherwise awkard Napoleon.
The film is all about accepting underdogs and indeed the underdogs win. I don't know why Bulldogs supporters would be attracted by it...
Now poor Mitch who is a winner has to cop it.
