WESTERN Bulldogs legend Scott Wynd has helped fast-track one of the biggest draft smokies on to an AFL list - at his former club.
The Brownlow medallist coached Josh Prudden at Assumption College this year, boosting the bargain-basement onballer into the draft pool before the Dogs pulled a recruiting surprise, pouncing at pick No.50.
Only three clubs showed interest in the inside midfielder, who has battled injury setbacks headed by a quad tear the past two years, while he was overlooked for an invite to the national draft combine.

Could be the steal of the Draft.
There were a number of other club recruiters who went - who?
But he certainly looked good on the highlights package

Like hearing these types of stories about our recruits, never gets tiresome. Sounds like a good get.

They all do before they've played. Hope the kid works out.

Noticed Josh hasn't come completely from nowhere as he was on the radar a couple of years ago at U16 level, being a member of the Vic Country team.

The kid has a good highlights package and is recommended by a Bulldog legend who has been coaching him. Clubs are taking speculative guesses on who will be a player well and truely by pick 50.
