4. Cooney. Far and away our best player.
3. Morris. Held us together in the first half and wasn't beaten in a day the side was spanked.
2. Roughead. Solid down back.
1. Young. Solid in defence and showed good composure at times.

Considered Libba who worked hard but had no impact. Many of his around the corner handballs simply went to Adelaide players.

I didn't give Morris votes simply because I thought Tex had a huge impact on the forward line. However, no Morris and it would have been worse.

TBH I could have had Morris, Roughy and Minson in any order. Morris was heroic early on and was simply overwhelmed by the supply upfield as the game wore on.

Mark Stevens tweeted
"Tom Liberatore won 16 hardball-gets today. Since 1999 only Chris Judd has won more in a game. Great start to the season from Libba. Star."
Libba did his job very well yesterday ... It was those around him that didn't.

Effective disposals were 57.5%, which was pretty good on the day, even compared to Adelaide Mids. Cooney and Thomson on 60%

He's not listed as a pup, but according to the club website, he's not 23 until November, which means he makes the age cut off.
