Start of the first quarter was great. Good quick ball movement but just couldn't put it on the scoreboard. Everything stopped after that and if GC were a good side we'd be down big.

Macrae looks the goods. Very calm and collected with the ball. Makes good decisions.

I'd much prefer to see JJ taking the kick ins.

You're right though there's very little movement and no marking targets unless Jones pushes all the way up the ground and then that huts our structure up forward. Minson gets a lot of hitouts but is lucky to even get a hand on the ball in a marking contest, it's a huge hole in our team.

I too, picked us for 4 wins..looks more like 1 or 2 at most.

i think that record is about right. Some other teams have better records for a weaker schedule (port and melbourne) but 1 win is about where we are at

we really are a suburban team in the AFL. This rebuild will take a lot longer than i thought. 5-6 years until we start playing competitive football worthy of finals

We're going backwards at a rate of knots, and despite his constant message of us being young, the fact is we are deplorable. Things are only going to get worse, and it's high time they said "We wanted a change, we made a call, and we got it terribly wrong"

Such a disappointing effort.

I'm staggered that our decision making is seemingly worse than it's ever been, and our willingness to commit to team oriented actions, including running hard to be the next option, blocking and from what I can gather communicating with each other has continued to deteriorate.

Skills are one thing that need to be improved, but if we took care of each of the above routinely on a weekly basis we'd have so much more time to use the ball well. It would be half of the battle won.

There didn't seem to be any thinking out on the ground by any players around the ball for the entire night. In close we used the ball very badly and at no stage did we decide to take a clear option, rather, we thought we'd be clever.

I tear my hair out on a weekly basis when I see multiple Bulldogs players running at the ball carrier or the guy who is about to get the ball, without any regard for what is going to happen next.

I'm not sure if it's a leadership, coaching or player personnel issue. I really hope it's only one of those issues, rather than all of them.

What is his gameplan? (I'm not being facetious, I really have trouble identifying what it is he's trying to do) what about our non existent structures? The players aren't playing with any pride or respect, and yet he trots out the same reliable excuses for us being woeful, and going backwards.

All of the younger guys were good without being great. I thought Stringer really struggled to impact the play in the air which is concerning.

Boyd was very poor, looks to have lost a lot of fitness which was his biggest weapon.

Gia had a number of bad moments but remains our most dangerous player with ball in hand forward of centre.

There's no gel with our play, it's all 2 metre handballs to a player facing the wrong way. A lot of that will come once players begin to understand each other, but a lot of that needs to be done at training with weave drills and game simulations.
