Thanks BAD great idea and as it changes we can update it. Think it's something that should be ongoing as we can see where we are at with each player and maybe get a guide on what the club thinks of players as well

I know this isn't usually the best site to get information from but a poster (BRG93) over at the WB Board at Bigfooty has put quite some time into trying to ascertain the current contract situation of all players on the list with sources where available. (opening post gets updated over time)
Might be able to use it to update or cross-reference here.

Whilst you don't want your stars going on the open market, there's a level of comfort that comes with long contracts and being re-signed early, sometimes knowing your career is on the line drives you to get more out of yourself
Of the remaining players out of contract at the end of the year, only Mitch Wallis I would be re-signing now, the others can prove their worth. Dahlhaus & Roughead were good re-signings though

I'd add Honeychurch to that list too.
Presumably if they elect to play on, Morris, Murphy, and Boyd will get further 1 year deals. Picken is probably in line to get a couple of years.
Of the others coming out of contract this year, most are in that wait and see territory. Grant, Redpath, Roberts, Cordy and Darley are the most likely to be re-signed, but I don't see any huge rush in doing so at the moment. There aren't going to be huge offers from other suitors coming in and whilst they are in or close to the best 22 (and otherwise, handy depth) if they stagnate or go backwards over the balance of the year, they could be squeezed out as Bevo makes his mark on the list.

Jake Stringer and Jack Macrae are the latest Bulldogs to commit to the Club after agreeing to contract extensions this week.
Following the signatures of Jordan Roughead and Luke Dahlhaus earlier this month, Stringer and Macrae have committed to the Western Bulldogs until the end of the 2018 season.

Hopefully we can extend JJ's contract before the year is out. If he keeps up his current form and he remains unsigned into next season the big offers from other clubs are bound to come.

I wish these idiots would stop talking about what Tom Boyd is paid. It is none of their *!*!*!*!ing business.
The players from the previous era are obsessed with how much the players make now, and are all really uncomfortable with contracts like Boyd. As a result, they bring it up in any discussion involving Tom, or contracts at the bulldogs.
It was a topic of conversation for at least half an hour on SEN this morning. I'm sure the issue of 'players having to take less money due to Boyd's contract' is in actual fact completely overblown.
Once the next collective bargaining agreement goes through - Boyd's contract will be a hell of a lot more relative. His $1m a year is going to be more like $750K (relatively speaking) - and although a lot of money, is just reality for extracting quality key position players from other clubs.
Its astonishing that having lived through the example of Alistair Lynch getting $1m for 10 years, everyone thinking it was absolutely outrageous - and then it being proven to be such a steal that Brisbane renegotiated the contract to give him more - that when similar examples such as Buddy and Boyd come up, the 'experts' don't seem to have learnt anything from history.

Urg, too hard. Can't we just point at the figure and yell TOO HIGH? Who has time to explain nuances like this. Not 24 sport news stations that's for sure.

So much ignorance from the footy community as to how list management works.

Wasting your breath Ozza. There is a narrative at play here and your well-reasoned explanations don't suit the narrative on Boyd. It is quite appalling that there are ex. players (legends of the game such as Lethal) in the media actually going on public record hoping Boyd does not have a successful career.
