Fellow Woofers,
At this quieter time of year if you are looking for something to feed your Bulldog addiction, I invite you to visit my blog www.bulldogtragician.com

The Bulldog story often struggles for airspace next to the more glamorous and successful clubs, and I wanted to create a space where the heartaches and the unique joys of following our club are captured. It's not necessarily the place for fierce debates about the cure of our forward line blues but it is the place where you can find some nostalgia and reflections on what keeps us going as fans. Some of the stories have also appeared on Footy Almanac ( a terrific website if you've never visited), mentioned in The Age, and shared around a lot on Twitter.

My latest blog post goes back in time to the 97 PF loss and poses the question whether scars from that loss have shaped our future. It does end on a hopeful note so don't be deterred!

What a wonderful blog. Loved reading it and identified with everything. Even got a little emotional reading about Crossy. Thank you.

Please. Don't even bring it up.. I'm fundamentally anti-censorship.. But shut it down!!

Sincerest apologies! ^^^* I didn't mean it. The mere mention of 1997 still instantly gives me a cold sweat!

I'm actually a big advocate of the romanticism of our history. I really believe that our premiership will clearly result in the biggest party Melbourne's seen since 14.08.1945... It's what keeps me going.. But, Christ, September 1997 hurt.. Thus the occasional irrational overreaction.

Fine blog.

Mods, please delete thread and include 97 in the list of swear words that are barred from Woof forever and ever.

that year never happened.

Close thread.

97 hurts as much now as it did back then.

I loved that song "Bitter sweet symphony", but I began to dislike it as it reminded me of that year.
Wonderful blog

Maybe that wasn't the best post to introduce the blog..it really normally is a place of sunshine, optimism and happiness! Apologies for my insensitivity to those who have now relapsed into the foetal position.

Perhaps a better example is one I wrote on Grand Final Day last year, my daydream of how we would all be spending the 2016 grand final..
