Smith and the LTI?

Assuming Smith won't be back until mid season from his ACL, can we elevate a rookie until Smith resumes his position.

If so, who would we look at?

Jong would be the only chance at present you would think.

Greenwood seems to be miles off.

Austin & Redpath would only be a chance if we got a few injuries to key backs.

That said there are still a few in front of Jong so I don't see any need to promote him at the moment. If he impresses for Footscray then he may get a chance later in the season as there will most likely be someone else on the long term injury list by then.

The only mention I found on the website is that he is regressing to schedule' no likely return date or anything.

I don't see a need to promote a rookie. Jong for me is a fair way off (albeit, with a huge amount of scope for improvement), while Redpath and Austin can be called in if KPF cover is required.
