I couldn't fit what I wanted to say in the title soI will re-phrase:
a player who played in the reserves and then was called up into the seniors so they played a reserves and senior game in the same round.
There are one or two on the tip of my tongue and is annoying me?
If we need to cast the net to other clubs to not have another epic fail on my thread posting history so be it! :)

In pretty sure Clay Smith did it last year. He came on as the sub in the AFL.

Thanks Ricky A - but that's not the one I'm thinking of.
I'm pretty certain someone from Carlton did it recently. I recall something about sitting in the rooms eating a sandwich of something.

Nick Duigan kicked 4 in an EF against Richmond after getting a late call-up.. He was eating a sub when he was told to get stripped.
Not sure if he played the previous day.

I can remember Terry Wheeler being taken from the ground at halftime in the reserves and playing in the seniors one day at Whitten Oval. It was late in his career so it would have been early '80s.
