Sponsorship mission foods another 3 years, Liverpool and bulldogs coming together about men's health.
Could be a great fan base with Liverpool.

That was Essendon's highest scoring quarter for the year. Gosh we are great at giving team's down on confidence opportunities to get out of a slump.

I spoke with Mr Gordon about this last week. Great men's health initiative, all about men coming together, having fun and talking about issues about promoting our health. Function soon which sounds like a good night, Mr Gordon mentioned he will be there talking to the attendees with other well known doggies people. I can't support this enough!

Good news.

Not sure what the Liverpool connection was? As I understand it, they apply the same initiative, but not sure how it ties the two clubs together to make news.

Perhaps it stemmed from this:

http://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/2013-07-24/liverpool-fc-visit-the-bulldogs

It seems we've been to them and they've visited us.

Puns on "wraps" and "bases" anyone?

For example:

I am a great wraps for Mission sponsoring us.

Mission provides a great base for the club to build its ingredients on.

A mexican wave works best when the stadium is at least half full.... But I like your thinking!

Thought the forwards got into the spirit Saturday night, I swear Crammers and Dickson were having a good old Mexican stand off......pita full!

Tommy Campbells new theme song as he runs on in the VFL this week...."Don't mess with the Mission Hairy Man!" Bit corny?

I'm out, got taco to work!

Did anyone get to the Sons of West night with Will Anderson and co?

I intended to come down and see what they're trying to do, but I didn't realise they were starting so soon and the next phase about about health checks and issues of abuse with say alcohol or gambling aren't applicable.

I'd love to hear the views from anyone who went along, I got a chance to briefly chat to Peter Gordon a while back and he was really excited and passionate about helping men with health and life, and bringing fun and enjoyability to the program.

I guess it's not sexy enough for good media, but i'm proud of our club and it's leaders for using our position in the world to address social issues in directly helping men make positive changes in their life through a program such as we run.

Bro in law went, said it was a great event. Really driving a message of participation and wellbeing. Mostly about getting guys invested in their health and supporting one another. I work in community health out our way and have been pushing it hard in my area, it is a great initiative, really proud of the Club.

On the issue of sponsorship, our second tier sponsor is now known as The Victorian Workcover Authority.

I hope they're paying for all the new branding to our jumpers, jackets, shirts, web pages, books etc.

As an aside... How much did this cost the tax payer....

True, they should offer more. But, I realised I wasn't clear. How much did the rebranding cost and what benefit does the community get by pulping and throwing out everything with the old name, and hopefully we as a club are not out of pocket. Admitedly the old name was unclear. I mean work-safe, what does that even mean??
