I'm assuming it's a prerecorded interview. Should be interesting watching. FYI.

Seems to me that PG has made a conscious decision to poke the bear (swan). Perhaps he is concerned that the equalisation discussion has started to dry up and needed him to get it back in the headlines. He's been relatively quiet and the last couple of days have seen him return to 1980's PG.

As a pure guess, I think Peter is certain equalisation in the first phase of revenue sharing is pretty much agreed. Pure guess though.

When Gordon was announced as President my mind when to the rebel in his first reign and how that didn't fit in with the way of the modern handout club president way.

I heard him speak soon afterwards about how the AFL has changed and really wanted us, sounded like Winston Smith at the end of Orwell's 1984!

I don't know how conscious a decision it is but you can't keep your true colours inside for too long and (not too far) deep down Gordon is pretty anti-esthablishment/a rebel. He is now more Oliver Twist. As long as it isn't completely destructive, i like it. I am a bit over us just taking our little share.

I quite like that our president is speaking out and ruffling some feathers. It seems like thats the only way these days that we can get any media attention.

Good god we are going to need someone like him on our side. As Matt Lloyd points out today in the age, wealthier clubs can weather the storm as Gold Coast begins to dominate, then GWS, but it's going to be very difficult for us.

Not true... The President's last year sent Peter out to be their public face against Essendon's attack on the AFL. I can't believe Peter beat out Eddie and Co to get that role, what a lucky man...

Intro says Gordon takes on Ireland head on.

Should've gone harder. There is no apology required and Sydney are deliberately trying to dilute the message. Simple:

- Sydney have been given an extra 1.2 mill in their salary
- A good player on $700k and $70k cola is still $770k for any other club to match
- Sydney have used cola to pay their good medium player exactly that (10 pec under market plus 10 pec cola) and freed up $2million in standard cap money to buy 2 star forwards
- no other club can legally do that
- Sydney have legally done that
- ergo; Sydney can go get %#~<#%
