Channel 9: Majak Daw arrested for Sexual Assault in 2007

Channel 9 reporting Victoria Police Sex Crimes Squad 2 weeks ago arrested Daw for an investigation into an allegation of Sexual Assault from 2007.

What what I heard on the ABC this morning no charges have been laid??? Norf certainly didn't know anything about it.

As it occurred in 2007 that would be when Majak was 16.

Shouldn't he have some protection from the release of names due to his age at the time.

It was reported yesterday that he was released without charge and is cooperating.

Alleged Incident occurred before drafting. Whatever else, this could be twisted by haters against our Sudanese brothers and sisters so I hope the media and those reporting on it keep everything in perspective.

What I find completely unfair to Daw is that he would not even be named if the charge had been laid at the time of the alleged offence.

This also has nothing to do with him being an AFL listed player, but if he wasn't this would be buried deep in the inner pages.
