Was a beauty to be fair. Completely different to the Bont but no less brilliant

I thought White's was the best. Unbelievable run.

Both very good. It's a metaphor for footballers vs athletes. White' was the best athletic goal. Bonts was pure elite footballing skill.

Generic long run goal, you see a handful every season, Hartung kicked one just as good yesterday.

GOTY decided by an internet poll. We were never going to get Bonti over the line. It was by a decent stretch the best goal I've ever seen live and certainly the best goal kicked in the AFL this season. Disappointing the public didn't get around it.

Under fierce pressure the whole way and was going at full tilt. Reckon you're underselling the difficulty in White's goal - most people would have either been caught from behind or would have sprayed it out of bounds going at that pace.

Yep, going against the grain but I preferred White's goal.

I liked White's goal as well.
Why are we surprised though channel7's graphic still had Junior winning the brownlow when behind with 5 games to go!!

I'm glad White won it and not Betts. I had to switch off mid-count so only just found out the winner of the Brownlow this morning. It shocked me, as I hate the Eagles, but I'm actually happy Priddis won it, too. Two good results, even if not Bulldogs oriented.
always right

Hartung had no-one on his hammer applying pressure whereas White had the audacity to take on Morris who had White within his grasp until White put the after burners on. Generic?....I don't think so.
Bonts should have won but I have no problem with White winning. The voting system on the other hand......
How did White carry the ball 80 metres and only bounce it three times!!

I thought I counted 15 steps for Hartung before he kicked the goal. Running at full speed, seems he ran a bit too far in my books. I also begrudge anything to the opposition.

The other aspect to Bonti's goal was that it was the match winner in a close game.

Playing devils advocate here:
The rules require you to bounce the ball every 15 metres. 3 bounces means he would have had 4 periods of 15 metres: Run, bounce, run, bounce, run, bounce. Thats 60. At the pace he was running, he probably picks up another 3-5 metres with every bounce. That's another potential 15 metres there. Thats up to 75.

If the ump had've called it, there would've been a yellow lynching.
