A bit surprised a Geelong hero didn't take up a spot with the dogs. Maybe he wasn't available, maybe we didn't ask or maybe we are happy with Lowe.

Sydney people seem happy to have him at the club. Just saw the laudings on Facebook.

No idea. Seems we get just about every ex-Geelong gun. Or maybe it's Geelong guns, but not captains we get? (Ling to North)

I'm new to Sydney but understand he had some kind of role with AFL NSW

Channel 7's Friday night commentary just got slightly less shit. Now if only Ling, Matthews, McAvaney and Watson can find jobs elsewhere, they might actually start to have a semi-decent commentary team.

I've had a bit to do with Tom up here in NSW. Top bloke. Yes he lives in Sydney. Was General Manager of AFL NSW/ ACT until last year. Craig Bolton is now in this role.

Is he now responsible for contracts and overseeing list management, all the coaches etc?

He's probably a smart bloke but it seems a big step up from never having worked in a club environment
