I'd like to hear your thoughts on the likely ladder at the end of the home and away season this year

Surely it has to be Hawthorn, Sydney. Port and Fremantle fighting it out again? Geelong, Richmond and North are very hard to predict.

5: Collingwood
6: North Melbourne
7: Gold Coast
8: Richmond

9: Geelong
10: Adelaide
11: Essendon
12: West Coast
13: Carlton
14: Brisbane
15: Western Bulldogs
16: GWS
17: Melbourne
18: St.Kilda

Top three are interchangeable and I have no idea who will win the Premiership. Hawthorn are the most likely of the three to have down patches through their season so that's why they're third, but they'll be fine in the finals.

There is a huge clump of sides that I don't rate but get to be in the top 8 by virtue of being better than the rest. Assumiong Gablett stays fit though GC will be in there.

Geelong will drop away sooner or later. Their recruits, cheap as Mitch Clark was, are uninspiring. Richmond and North will both struggle in the finals but chalk up enough wins to get them there.

Essendon will have another season affected by off field stuff, although this will be the first where it affects the actual squad available. They will be slow starters and struggle to recover.

Carlton will have a hot patch but otherwise be unimpressive. Brisbane will be up and down but promising.

We will have an encouraging season despite the ladder position. Not having the senior players or depth of other clubs will hurt us.

Bottom three remain largely the same.

1: Port Adelaide - admire the way they play plus they have Ryder now.
2: Sydney - AFL Commission makes sure they rarely finish below the top few.
3: Hawthorn - Won't be able to make it a threepeat. There will be some bad luck in 2015.
4: Collingwood - added some players, got a funny feeling about the 'Pies in 2015.
5: West Coke - Big year on their home ground. They'll snort a few more on the road.
6: Gold Coke - Another AFL Commission love child that is now primed for a big season.
7: Adelaide - I know, the Dangerfield issue - but I think they rebuilt a bit last year and will reap rewards in 2015.
8: Geelong - Home ground will help get them enough wins but not what they were.

9: Richmond - 9thmond, say no more.
10: North Melbourne - they have topped up for a slide. Watch out for the finger pointing by round 11.
11: Fremantle - Dull, defensive style will continue for a further fade down the ladder.
12: Essendon - not finals material.
13: Western Bulldogs - we will surprise a couple of places on the popular tips for ladder position.
14: Carlton - Malthouse won't make it to the end of the season. Look out for the implosion.
15: Brisbane - midfield fine but no spine.
16: Melbourne - will do better but only because of how bad Stk and GWS are
17: St Kilda - another painful rebuilding season.
18: GWS - watch the wheels fall off as the Grifter is lame and the story builds for the mass exodus at season's end.

1. Port
2. Hawthorn
3. Sydney
4. North (though not contenders)
5. Adelaide (new coach cat bounce. Not contenders)
6. Geelong
7. Freo
8. Gold Coast
9. Richmond (Honestly didn't do this to take the piss. This is where they fall IMO)
10. Brisbane
11. Essendon (could be last depending on ASADA)
12. West Coast
13. Collingwood
14. Carlton (going nowhere. No long term plan. Simply shooting for 11th instead of 14th... Stupidly)
15. Melbourne (a triumphant fifteenth. Going nowhere. Just happy to win 8 or so..)
16. GWS (but they've blown their prem window now)
17. Us (but with a plan - unlike many above. Last year of rebuild)
18. Aints (traditional rabble)

17. Melbourne
18. St. Kilda

---------------------------

Top three should be well ahead of the rest. I think Fremantle/Gold Coast will take fourth, Collingwood to sneak into the 8 with no confidence whilst Essendon/North have ASADA/injury issues. Brisbane have no KPP's and Hanley is out for 12 weeks otherwise I'd have them finishing higher, I don't rate Adelaide/WC/Carl but they have enough 'experience' to finish ahead of us. Melb/St. Kilda still have ordinary lists, even in terms of younger talent IMO.

1. Hawthorn ( it s**** me to tears to type that)
2. Port ( cherry ripe for an assault)
3. Sydney ( always there)
4. Geelong ( still got enough to get there)
5. Norf ( look for a slow start with many underdone )
6. Gold Coast ( rocket instant impact, as he's got form)
7. Freo ( just hanging on now)
8Eagles ( need to make it )
9. Tiges ( not extracting the urine) could see them falling in the eight.
10. Ravens ( could make it as they have the talent)
11. Bombres ( auto correct had "bombed", hope they do)
12. Bris ( could finish higher, but worried about their kp stocks)
13. Pies ( lost a truckload of experience , pressure on Bucks)
14. Carlton ( malthouse is to happy, and if I followed them I'd rather him grumpy)
15GWS ( who cares)
16 dogs ( lost truckload of games, get a good start and I may be wrong)
17 Dees ( they'll be asking for a priority pick for the umpteenth time)
