It's not official Marmo voting, but a good warm up for us to get our analytical thinking going for the season proper. Please give your best 3 three on ground, 3 votes being your best on ground.
Some reasoning would be nice.

3. Macrae: A zillion possies and set so much up
2. Bonts: 30 touches and 3 goals
1. Grant: Set a standard for everyone in every contest all over the ground. With his usual flashes of brilliance.

3 - Bontempelli - He got us going early and while he dropped off a bit in the 2nd half still featured enough.
2 - Macrae - Composed and efficient. Great youngster.
1 - Jong - Creative and provided a real spark.
Captains pick - Joel Hamling - His athleticism and discipline were outstanding.
Special mention to Brett Goodes who might now earn a promotion.

Noticed a few giving votes to Jong. I'm a massive fan and liked his intent last night but actually thought he fumbled more than usual. Reckon he can play much better which is the pleasing thing.
3. Bonts.....I have a similar feeling with this bloke as when Chris Grant first started
2. Minson......welcome back big fella. Need him to carry that form into round one against NickNat
1. Dickson......been a big critic but his work rate was amazing last night

3. Bonti... 30 and 3 goals, amazing
2. Dickson... 24 possessions, 2 goals, 4 score assists, brilliant
1. Macrae... 30 possessions and really lifted when Bonti was copping close attention.

Good call but I went with the fact that he also added to the scoreboard pressure. Perhaps I'm giving him a bit too much credit for the rise in his play. On the night I could have easily given votes to about 10 players

3. Bontempelli - dominate performance.
2. Wallis - great work ethic, combined with scoreboard impact.
1. Cordy - could pick about 15 blokes here, but did some important things, impacting a contest up forward, drifting down back, etc.

Bonts, Minson, Macrae, Wallis, Dahlhaus, Goodes, Dickson, Murphy & Jong all deserved votes. I gave one to Jong because he is so good at running out of congestion like Chris Judd was. Cross & West would fire off a quick handball, Libba Jnr & M Boyd would bang it on their boot, but Jong runs his way to the outside of the contest. It's such a valuable trait, worth multiple handballs and tackles that try to win the clearance but don't always succeed.
I also liked his shots for goal, he didn't want to have a shot from that distance against Richmond but nailed both goals from 40m+ last night

3 Bonts....set us up
2 Macrae.. seriously clever player
1 Zarzoff (Tory Dickson).. Better player than I thought and maybe arriving as a top liner as it's only
his 3rd or 4th preseason.
