I would have preferred to see Minson 1st ruck but understand the coach needs to have a good look at the ruck department and that can't be left to late in the season and then if we are well out of the running for a finals spot. Investigate possibilities and limitations now because late in the season we might still be in the finals race.

I hope so. I don't think I've ever felt any worse. I barely ever sleep long hours, an 18 month boy will do that to you but I've probably had close to 24 hours sleep over these 2 days. Not as tired today but I'll be getting some shut eye again real soon. Rest up for the big game :)

I'm just wrapt for the Boyd's, Murphy's, Dale Morris's ( injured, but still around ) and the other guys who have seen the absolute lows of semi-final disaster and true hard times. They will finish their careers knowing the fruit of so many hard efforts is maturing. That's precious. It came too late for the Daniel Cross's, Scotty Wests, and other warriors who left the club in less ideal circumstances.

I was one, but the 1640 start meant I had to miss for my futsal team. I'm the captain, so I can't just not turn up.

Not about individuals for mine but cohesive, well drilled defensive unit that enable the free flowing attack to work. The coach needs to get a lot of kudos to enable this to happen so quickly after the blood bath of the off season.

I have to mention one player though who has absolutley copped his fair share on this blog(included me) but Matty Boyd is in career best form and deseveres a hell of a lot of credit for his co captain like support to Murphy.

What about that! Was one of the best game I've seen us play in my few years as a Doggies member. Absolute domination from the start and our pressure was fantastic. Stringer, Bontempelli, Smith, M Boyd just to name a few I thought were great. Just imagine how good it will be to have Libba back.

Boy oh boy, what a ripping game! I would've taken a loss if we could play like that first quarter, even if we ran out of puff. But they just kept at it, and were all over the Crows! Just sensational. Murph played like he was 25 again, Boyd Jnr showed more good signs, Boyd Snr looks to have found a great spot down back. Bonti - that burst through two players and goal! Stringer. Stringer. STRINGER!!!!!!

Feels great coming home on the train after a terrific game like that, knocking off the top side. CARN THE DOGGIES!

Just finished the drive back. I had the pleasure of sitting near an outspoken elderly gent with a broken Mediterranean English accent. At one poor decision he yelled at the umpire 'you should be a postman'. I'm not sure what that means, but I support him whole heartedly then and now... Bloody wannabe postmen umpires!
