This game against St. Kilda, is perhaps the most important game of the year so far. If we assert ourselves and win convincingly, then the last loss is just a blip on the radar, and I think our star will continue to rise.. If we lose again, all the old fears and doubts will start creeping in, we'll just be slogging it out with a cluster of rebuilding sides.

WE NEED TO WIN THIS ONE.

I'm giving Collingwood a sneaky chance to upset Freo this week. Collingwood have tended to travel well, and are a good side. Freo a bit vulnerable without Michael Johnson in defence repelling attacks.

Freo's last 3 weeks, the snuck past Adelaide by 11 points, lost to Richmond by 5 goals, then snuck past Gold Coast by 7 points. Collingwood have beaten Gold Coast, North, Melbourne and GWS in their last 4.

I think Freo were craving for the bye week.
They've been a bit flat for a few weeks, but I think they'll get their mojo back .
I think we can beat Stkilda, but not sure on winning convincingly

I'd dearly love to thrash the Saints. I really hope we tear them a new one.

Is Pav finished?

He kicked five odd against us, so he's still got a little bit left. I hope not, he is my favourite non-bulldog ever.

Noticed when Fasolo kicked that last goal very few players celebrated with him while Pendles gave him a talking to

My parakeet's favourite player just put the Pies back in front.

Tight game, not a lot of open skill but the intensity is good.

Credit to Collingwood, they've seemingly turned their club over from a player perspective and look to be heading in the right direction.

Tough old game in difficult conditions .
Cream rose to the top with Fyfe and Hill prominent .
Freo's forward structure without the Pav firing looks a big problem.
Pies have an excellent side, that's only going to get better .
Got a feeling not being able to attract that second big forward is going to stop Freo winning it

All things considered Freo shouldn't be able to win a flag without a big marking forward but its going to be one of those years where the premiership team isn't going to be a mighty, mighty team.

May as well hold the Brownlow count in Fyfe's lounge room. He can accept the award after the first 10 rounds and head off to bed.

Good chance he'll be in a room in Perth on account of preparing for the Grand Final the way things are going. If that happens - I wonder if the AFL will be offering to charter a plane for him to get over to Melbourne for the count.

Even though Freo won, they have some concerns.

Hawthorn still the team to beat for mine. Even if they finish third or fourth and have to travel first week of finals, I fancy them.

He might top Graham Teasdale's count from the days when the two field umpires each gave their 3-2-1.

Even considering it didn't even collect Edwards' head and he just got straight up? I didn't think there was much in it. He did run past the ball which looks bad.

Essendon being taken to the cleaners now
Played an odd keepings off game in the first half, and hawthorn have got their game together.
Some horrid efforts from Cooney ( one awful lack of tackling )

Yep. I've been waiting for it to catch up with some of the blokes who left us because they only want to run one way or play one position

It confirms a lot of good decisions were made at the end of last year. The stuff we could control we did pretty well.

The stuff we couldn't control we excelled at. :)

Definitely got his head, and dose to bump instead of trying to win possession of the ball.

To be honest Buddy has become downright lazy when it comes to physical contests.

We are a good team. I thought after the Freo game that we were better than them and I still think it. It's one of those years where there isn't an outstanding team although Hawthorn are starting to look ominous.

In one way good to see Carlton win, as the fans will get a false sense of thinking they can win next week. Therefore, they will show up in numbers and bolster our attendance numbers as well. Then we will bring them back down to earth.

More importantly Stefan Martin gets 2 weeks after getting done in by the Crows medical report.

The MRP exists to ruin the AFL and my supercoach team concurrently.

There's far, far, far too much emphasis on the medical reports by the MRP.
