Deledio out for Rixhmond tonight. They just don't win without him so we can put a game between us and them tomorrow.

Adelaide Richmond frustrating match. Adelaide dominant (I50 25-11) but not converting.

Should've been a 100 point pantsing, but they took 4% off them. So we've got that going us, which is nice.

Well well well talk about Richmond being a flag contender is just nonsense .
That was an 100 pt loss tonight, and they just don't score enough .
They're a bottom of the eight side, that unfortunately has to many media and fans who get well ahead of themselves .

Harsh to call Richmond a bottom 8 side. They were horrible last night, but they have beaten Hawthorn, Sydney in Sydney and Freo in Perth this year.

Exactly. The Tigers are a pretty good side. They could cause an upset in the finals.

They are a more hardened battle unit than we are, in a final vs us, they would be comfortable favourites.

I wish our backline wasn't decimated this week, we so need the win.

And it just needs to be a win. After the Tigers loss it's not like we need a 30 or 40 point result although it might help us if the Swans have a loss.

Remi is correct though Richmond struggle to score. If the 8 stays the same come the end of the round they will have the lowest points scored of any top 8 teams.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that but the Tigers are certainly very capable of knocking over the teams currently in the top 4. They might be the best equipped of all other sides to do so.
I wouldn't mind us playing them in the finals but I'm not sure too many teams in the 4 would be licking their lips.

I think Remi was saying that Richmond are a bottom of the top 8 team .ie. 5th - 8th.. They just don't have the consistency of performance of a Top 4 team.

Losing Delideo was massive, they are now 2-11 without him in recent times.

Bottom of the top 8, not bottom 8

An important distinction, and perfectly sums up where they are presently. Remi's statement was pretty close to the money for mine as they struggle to score, and so many in the media hype them up the first chance they get.

Last year they won in Perth and in Sydney, but completely capitulated in the first week of finals. The year prior they narrowly lost to Dockers in Perth then comfortably beat WCE a few weeks later, and also beat the Hawks. In the first week of the finals they accounted for themselves terribly and lost to a mediocre Carlton.

Until they put in a decent finals performance I'll be treating their prospects no differently than I have these past two years. I'm not saying they're incapable of taking another step forward, though I think people have dropped their strides a little too early when it comes to the Tigers.

McGovern looked in bad shape too.

We're having a great run with opposition GUNS getting injured right before playing us. Look for Bernie Vince and Tom McDonald to collide Gillespie/Waugh style tomorrow.

North Melbourne are like that. They will jag a big win now and then, but get beaten by lesser lights.
Always been something suss about Richmond's list. Was almost 100% sure they would lose against Crows and they didn't disappoint.

I assume scream incoherently and then abuse the players between breaks. My understanding is that's good match day coaching.

LostDoggy

Cooney had 4 shots on goal today for 4 out on the fulls. That's gotta be some kind of record (maybe the anti-dead eye dicko).

Maybe he's looking for someone to make the decision for him (and get paid out).

Either way, I'll remember him for when his body was right and he was a legitimate Brownlow quality player for us.

North kicked 19 goals last week, yet their oppositions CHB and FB were dominant.. Their selection in the team of the week is either BS or the rest of their defence and defensive structures were poor.

I'd say that most of the places in the team are on the back of stats. Who has the time to watch 9 games? They'd just look at the stat sheets and choose players with the best stats for their position.

I think that team is selected by Champion Data, so its purely stats based. When a lot of players are selected from a particular game, it probably just reflects that it was a bruise free, circle work kinda game.

It's up there with the NAB rising star award for credibility which previously was awarded based on who Kevin Sheehan thought was the most worthy award and I believe now extended to include the thoughts of such astute observers of the game in Ling, Richo, Frawley, DMcLachlan, Mark Evans, Darcy
