Seriously? Haven't had a new hit song in 20 odd years and are well passed it.
No Aussie acts, again, and for these guys... 100,000 people at $300 a ticket should be able to generate enough cash for great acts.
Who picks these acts year after year?
The AFL has NFI when it comes to anything.
Plenty of great aussie bands out there.

It's just appeasing those supporters who keep harping about how everything should be like it was in the 80's. You'd never know the AFL has supporters under 40. It's still better than some horrendous Australian reality TV talent show winner.

If that was the case we would have 3 footy grand finals one after the other and none of this American pre entertain BS.

I don't know why we try and match NFL's half time show. Why not just have Little League finals?

Jesus, Chris Isaak? Will put everyone to sleep.
The AFL always gets it wrong with half time. Lionel Richie, Meatloaf was a good choice but drunk or too drugged to cut it.
Can think of 1000 better options. Wait, make that 1001.

Chef, you speak the truth.
I think in this year of dubious borderline racially inappropriate behaviour, an Aboriginal rock band would be awesome.
Imagine a Warumpi type band? Bet they could rock better than Chris Isaak.

The best crowd entertainment I've been witness to was a competition of dogs catching Frisbees at lunch in the Boxing Day Test one year. Crowd loved it. That would be honestly more entertaining than wheeling out more 25 year past their prime AOR hacks to churn out some tired, safe old radio hits in the middle of the afternoon. The only way these guys can provide an entertaining spectacle is if they provide a trainwreck performance, a la Meatloaf.

I want these dogs. Why couldn't we do this as a pre game warm up? Stuff INXS and scarf waving, the dogs before the dogs would be fun as.

I don't mind either act, but as others have said... I'd question their relevance to a large part of the audience.

Met Bryan once in Taipei. He was dating a business colleagues sister and we went up to his hotel room for a chat. Nice guy but way passed it and as others have said, the AFL has no idea on entertainment on GF day. However, if we are playing I wouldn't care if Meatloaf was on again.:D

Get some ex footy stars and put them in those big blow up balls and let them run into each other for a while. Mix it up with some dogs with frisbees and a crowd based kick a ball into the back of a ute doodad and away we go.
Play a Calvin Harris best of mix tape on the speaker system and everyone is happy.

Gill the Dill was quoted in today's papers-"Ellie Goulding because that's MY Daughter's favourite artist and Bryan Adams because Summer of '69 is a favourite of MINE"
Seriousley!!!!!
Don't worry about what everybody else might think or want,as long as us McLaughlin's are looked after we can do whatever the F#$%& we want to,to anyone we like @ AFL Headqaurters.

I think we need to get back to basics.
From Rob's speech to the Bat Mobile, Angry just creams it. Notwithstanding the poor timing of the sound mixing.
It's the best.
All the coloured/ethnic folk, plus Jeff Fenech are extremely confused, but the white folk are loving it. Ahhhh the early 90's.
