1. This weeks final moved to Adelaide by AFL to maximise crowds.

2. B Franklin to be traded for T Boyd at AFL's insistence to allow maximisation of crowds in Battle of Bridge games.

3. AFL announce competition wide Food and Beverage deal with Old El Paso, insist on Mission stepping down from Bulldogs.

4. AFL umpiring dept announcement confirming a minimum of 5 frees per game to continue to be awarded against Bulldog rucks for no reason.

5. AFL take note of fact we can make more from one game in Cairns than all games at Etihad combined. Cairns game next year to feature GWS vs Collingwood to maximise returns to AFL coffers

6. AFL announce compensation package for Essendon over prolongued drugs saga. Dons given carte blanch to select up to 5 players from other teams. Stringer, Bont, Macrae, Wallis, Wood to move, Cooney offered as compensation, Liam Jones and Jason Tutt to return to the club under a complicated trade that see's Essendon get Kruezer, Sherman and Akermanis lured out of retirement by AFL to complete repair to Bulldogs list.

7. AFL announce settlement with J Hird/Essendon over AFL drugs saga. Hird's position at Essendon accepted to be untenable. AFL announce L Beverage to be seconded to Windy Hill for duration of contract. J Hird to be allowed to coach out his contract as Senior Coach of Western Bulldogs.

8. Funeral Plans announced for B Murphy after ritual seppuku performed with handle of 54 cup after hearing plans for announcements 6 and 7.

Dogs secure young trio (http://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/2015-09-09/dogs-secure-young-trio)

The Western Bulldogs have secured three talented young players, with Josh Prudden, Caleb Daniel and Toby McLean putting pen to paper on new contracts this week.

The trio contributed to the Club’s tally of eight debutants in 2015 and have displayed promising signs early in their careers.

Daniel and McLean both joined the Club in the 2014 AFL Draft, with McLean debuting in round 10 against Port Adelaide and Daniel round 14 against Carlton.

The pair have signed one-year extensions, keeping them at the Club until the end of 2017, beyond their existing two-year draftee contracts.

McLean said the extension was a continuation of a promising first season, and he was grateful for the chance to play his role.

“It’s really exciting, I’ve had a really good first year and I can’t wait to play again.

“I didn’t think I would even play one AFL game this year, so to play four it was good that he (Luke Beveridge) had faith in me.”

Daniel said he looked forward to continuing with the Club’s young group, after the re-signings of several other young stars throughout the year.

“It’s definitely a pretty exciting time to be around the Club, playing finals and the development of the boys this year and hopefully beyond is pretty exciting.

“Having that year extension, it’s something that we can grow together and the main core of the boys are all sticking around for a while.”

Prudden, who joined the Club with the 50th pick in the 2012 AFL Draft, made his AFL debut in round 15 and impressed with his attack on the ball, neat skills and selfless team play.

The 21-year-old has signed a one-year deal which will keep him at the Club into 2016 and Prudden said he looked forward to continuing his development alongside the Club’s talented list.

“It’s fantastic news, I thank the Club for putting their faith in me for another year and hopefully there’s more improvement like we showed this year.”

Boyd and Morris sign on for one (http://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/2015-09-09/boyd-morris-sign-on-for-one)

Western Bulldogs veteran defenders Matthew Boyd and Dale Morris will play on next season, both signing one-year deals with the Club.

The pair, who were part of the Club’s last finals campaign in 2010, have been key components in a Bulldogs back six that has seen the Club return to September action for the first time in five years.

Both Morris and Boyd are products of the AFL Rookie Draft and have gone on to play over 460 games between them.

Boyd, the Club’s captain from 2011-2013, has found some of the best form of his career in a shift to defence under coach Luke Beveridge this season, recognised by selection to the 40-man All Australian squad this week.

The 33-year-old has averaged 27 disposals and eight marks in 2015, reaching his 250 game milestone in Round 14 this year.

Boyd said he was pleased to play on after such a positive year for the Club.

“It’s good to be able to sign in such an exciting week for the footy club and good to be able to look forward to another year.

“Playing a new role down back it’s been exciting, it’s been fun and I’ve loved the challenge and I’m looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”

Morris has been one of the most durable and reliable defenders in the AFL in the past decade, making a name for himself with an ability to play on both and tall and small opponents.

After a broken leg in 2011, Morris has gone on to reach 200 games this year in Round 16 and will play on alongside Boyd in 2016.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be going on again another year, I just love the Club and love playing footy and to go again I’m rapt.”

Boyd was recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays/Frankston VFL in 2002, while Morris arrived at the Kenne from VFL club Werribee three years later in 2005.

Wil and Fifi is purely for the media exposure, and trying to build up a real bulldogs army. Fifi has apparently spoken about buying a membership and things on air a fair bit recently, not what I would call a passionate Dog but it's positive exposure so still good news.

A woofer has come up with a brilliant idea to enhance the clubs traditions and sense of togetherness.

Within a matter of days the club have embraced this and done what they can to promote it and instill excitement in it.

This isn't about Wil & Fifi, they only provide media attention. It's about the Doggies community sticking their chest out and being proud of our team, and of who we are as a club and community. It could be something great if people choose to get behind it.
