Bob at 32 took the HBF (All Aussie, 12th dogs captain in finals, AFLPA captain of the year - not a horrible start to his captaincy)
Easton took the other HBF
Jakey up forward, and still so young
I think that says our rebounding and intercept marking off the HBF was outstanding and league best.
And.... Jakey!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Bobby All Australian Captain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man..........I have been nothing short of a COMPLETE AND UTTER pain in the arse to anyone and everyone who will listen about what a megastar Jake Stringer will be. I use the term Megastar because I can't think of anything bigger. Now....all Australian already, and still, in reality getting over his broken leg.
On raw talent...........the best I've ever seen at the dogs. And look the f#@$%$# out for the next 10 years of Stringer.

Yeah but it's what Cyril does without out the ball. Cause lord knows he don't get it a hell of a lot!

Congratulations on being recognized for your outstanding seasons. Back it up next year, drag a few mates along with you and achieve the ultimate. I believe!

Exactly, you can't judge Cyril on goals, disposals, tackles, or contributions to his team on the field. You have appreciate the things he doesn't do to understand his true greatness.

We normally get shafted in most things AFL but this is recognition well deserved. How many third year players have made the AA team I wonder?

Good recognition for the players selected in the final 22 and for Dahl & Boyd for making the squad.
I would think Stringer might have a mortgage on a forward role for the next 6 to 8 years given that he can only improve on his deeds so far.. Would think Bont might also get a fair run too.

Yes, although we are probably getting ahead of ourselves, I did think to myself this morning that Jake is the sort of player who might be AA 7 or 8 times.

Knowing Jake he's probably already written 8 acceptance speeches

I don't think he should've been AA this year, and also sick if the media sycophants, but make no mistake, if Cyril doesn't get a lot of the ball it's because opposition do all they can to keep it off him. He is a decent player.

Isn't that just called a defender? Most forwards have someone doing all they can to keep it off them.
Cyril just doesn't get much of the ball because Cyril can't get much of the ball.

Has a player who plays the overwhelming majority of games up forward ever been elected as an AA first 18 player despite their goal tally being good enough for equal 28th in the league?
What do Michael Walters, Josh Hill (!!!), Jeff Garlett, Mark Le Cras, Tory Dickson and Luke Breust all have in common? They're all small (enough) forwards with more goals that Cyril this year who didn't even make the squad.
Give me Dickson or Breust's 15 extra goals over DURR INTANGIBLES CYRLIL DURR any day.

Great effort from all 3. Bobby is the leader we have craved. Easton is a game saver. Jake, well he is just Jake.
Sharpshooter should've made it on a HF but no way they let us have 4!

Just logged in to the AA side - well done Bob, Easton and Jake.
The puzzling selections for me are Jack Riewoldt, Cyril and Josh Gibson. In particular the Josh Gibson selections reeks of "5 years of being behind Corey Enright so we better give one to him retrospectively". Tough job selecting the team so they've done a pretty fair job all things considered.

Left, right, Murphy’s more than alright
He’s an exceptional kick on both sides of his body, but according to data compiled by Champion Data, Robert Murphy is number one in the game when it comes to kicking with his opposite foot.
Murphy had a kick rating of +7.7% when using his left boot, almost a full percentage rating ahead of his closest rival, Melbourne’s Heritier Lumumba.
