Our 5 All-Australian squad members finished 1, 2, 4, 5 & 7, so pretty astute selections by AA selectors. Great efforts by Bont & JJ to round out the top 7.
You know your team has gone alright when a 50 goal kicker in Dickson can't even crack the top 10. Class acts Morris, Crameri and Hunter also outside of Top 10. Very, very healthy.

Just thinking who's going to come out of that top 10 next year?
It's a very solid list of footballers with Libba a monty to push into the top 10 and T Boyd to come along. Also, Stevens if he gets an injury free run.
Then there's the developing Hamling & McLean, not to mention Roughead, Hunter, Daniel and Biggs.
There's a fair bit of upside, there!
Add one or two decent FAs or trade and we've got a bloody strong core list of players!
Great stuff by Wood and thanks for the updates woofers.

Underrated year - though he was sensational after he returned to the senior after his short exile, especially with his defensive work (which needed reinforcing to be fair, and was why he was dropped). If we are to go deep in September, I can see Macrae being a player that gets off the chain and delivers death by a thousand cuts - our Sam Mitchell basically.

Looking at the VFL results, Cordy gone, Hrovat potentially gone, Goodes gone, Kelly gone, Hunter consolidated in senior list; it'll be an interesting 2016 season for the Footscray boys.

As long as the Dogs Seniors don't get too many injuries though, they will be getting some very good players available to them.

Sam Mitchell is one player I can see him emulating, but I think Jack is elite to the point where once he builds his tank can be a 1.5 goal a game midfielder - commencing once Libba (and maybe Smith, but not likely) comes back into the side.
Jack can do all of the in close and hard things when he puts his mind to it already. If as a 21 year old he can continue to do those things and become a scoring option for us we have a clear Brownlow calibre player on our hands.
This guy is a gun.

With:
- Easton Wood winning a B&F,
- Wood, Murph, JJ and MBoyd all finishing top 7,
- JJ winning most improved in a Club full of big improvers,
- Murph, Wood making AA (Murph Captain)
- MBoyd making AA squd in an unfamiliar role
- Newcomers Roberts, Hamling & Biggs peforming admirably, even exceeding expectations of many.
An unsung hero of this year has surely been defensive line coach Rohan Smith.
Anyone who posted these as a realistic set of goals for our defensive group at the start of the year would've been considered hopelessly optimistic, yet they have been achieved.
Outstanding work Bubba.

I am buoyed with optimism for next season. Potentially, have the strongest list we have had SINCE 1954. It is now a matter of coaching, fitness, planning, commitment, teamwork and a slice of luck injury-wise as to how far we go next year. We have the ingredients to really make a statement.
Congrats to Easton Wood and all award winners and team mates. It's a TEAM game. Coaching staff, trainers, medical - all who've been involved - thanks for a great year, I've really enjoyed it.
To all WOOFERS - thanks too. Feels great to be involved in this forum. It's stimulating, thought provoking, passionate, well-informed, well-meaning and without rancour. Mods do a great job as do the stalwarts of which there are too many to name individually. So - THANKS TO ALL.

Like footy, it's not how high your stats are, it's what you do with them. There are a few Cyril Rioli's lurking about on these boards.

I would suspect that most of his votes were picked up very early in the season, when he shocked us all into thinking he might be a legitimate AFL player.
