How will the Hawk's forward line structure up now?

Rioli - Schoenmakers - Bruest
Puopolo - Gunston - Rotation (McEvoy, Lewis, Smith, Burgoyne even Frawley if there's no match up)

Others: O'BRien, Sicily, Ceglar, Langford etc.

Still very handy.

Huge blow for them no doubt. Having said that they will be fine.

I always rated him as better than Buddy after that game we smashed them in a few years ago and he was the only one trying.
Bloke is an absolute gun.

I always wonder what Rougheads career would be like if he didn't have so many injury set backs. He's done an ACL iirc, had that cancer scare and now his PCL. He's also one of my favorite players in the league so hopefully he can come back.

Like a few my heart sank with that thread title, but much relieved now. Will hurt Hawks badly I reckon, given that Lake and Hale are gone from the premiership team also. Talls stock starting to look thin. Gunston is a very good player, but big ask for him now as he is not quite a genuine key position size.

Well that's 7 goals we don't have to find!

Quite a few we won't have to stop Hawthorn scoring now though.

That's a bit of luck for us since we play them in round 3. The game is at Etihad rather than Tassie for a change so it should be our best chance to beat them for a number of years. Hopefully they start the season a little sluggishly.

You might be thinking of his achilles, I don't think he's done an ACL. Other than the achillies he really hasn't missed too many games across his career - he's averaging 21 per season (of course plenty of finals help).

People tend to overlook just how versatile he is too - he's played CHB, rucked, run through the middle when need be. Real team first player who gets other forwards involved in the game.
