I really want to see a lot of votes being cast for this game.

4. Biggsy thought he was sensational by foot, in the air and around the ground. Played a bit in the midfield but also a lot off half back and seemed to be in everything.
3. Koby Stevens went in hard, got a heap of ball and a heap of tackles. We really missed him big time last year.
2. How good is Murph another great game.
1. Stringer was the only dangerous forward on the ground.

I want to watch this game again (and again) but here is my initial thoughts.

Marmo
4 - Biggs (Just thought he was consistently reliable throughout the game)
3 - Wood (Sensational mark from out of nowhere and just kept driving us forward all game)
2 - Johannisen (Got a lot of it)
1 - Stringer (5 goals and stood up when we needed him to)

Apologies to many

James
2 - Stringer
1 - Adams (Great debut)

Apologies to Macrae and McLean

4. Johannisen - breaks the game open with his pace and has really improved his ball use. Genuine A-grader now
3. Stringer - 5 goals, only player on the ground to kick more than one. Created them from nowhere
2. Macrae - outstanding early, helped setup the win with 14 touches in the first quarter
1. Biggs - so clean with the ball working it out of defense

2. Stringer
1. Macrae

Second the above with apologies to Macrae and Adams. I love Mighty Mouse aka Caleb. So skilful and calm under pressure, so so happy with our recruiters and coach. Bring on the Sainters!!!

1. Koby (could have been a number of players who got plenty of ball but didn't use it consistently well, but 27 disposals and 8 tackles gets him the one)

4. JJ - was outstanding all day, great defensively and a constant attacking threat
3. Biggs - I've doubted him before but he was fantastic today. So clean and such a luxury to have as the fourth rebounding defender with JJ, Murphy and Wood (and Boyd as well) as his accomplices.
2. Wood - Classic Wood game. Big marks, dashing runs and long kicks. Hope the shoulder is ok.
1. Roughead - Was instrumental in our fast start and had the better of both Freo ruckmen all day not just in the ruck but around the ground as well.

2. Stringer

4. JJ - a superb running game off half back.
3. Biggs - totally controlled whoever he played on all day.
2. Stringer - is in a class of his own as a forward.
1. Macrae - high possession effective game.

4. Stringer - kicked all sorts of goals. A delight to watch.
3. Biggs - probably the best game he has ever played. Another one out of the Bob Murphy school of half back flankers.
2. Macrae - he is maturing quite nicely.
1. Daniel - for a small man in a big man's game, he is amazing. His ball handling skills are elite.

A lot of our scoring opportunities came from CHF. Ross Lyon pointed out in the presser ( very churlishly to a reporter ) We scored the same amount from entries coming out of half back. The ability of our mids and CHF line to lock the ball in and keep scoring was the key.
