Impressive start to the season and an excellent display of our quality of depth when you consider Easton Wood, Marcus Bontempelli, Matthew Boyd, Liam Picken and Bob Murphy haven't polled a single vote between them in either award and Jake Stringer has only featured in one game. I would imagine that is just about 5 of our top 6 or 7 from last year (for some reason I can't find the thread).

Clear result for Bonts (126 of possible 156). Great contest for the other votes with Wallis (75) ahead of Stringer (61) and Boyd (45). Dale Morris (40) narrowly misses with Dahlhaus (23) andLiberatore (14) also scoring strongly. Wood (3) Daniel (2) and Roughead (1) were the others to record votes.

Pups
James

2 - Bonts

-

Very clear cut for the James with Bont (71 of a possible 78), from Stringer (44). Only others to be listed were McLean and Daniel with a single vote each.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Lachie Hunter -11
2 - Jason Johannisen - 8

Round 8: - Western Bulldogs v Melbourne votes

Marmo -

4 - Marcus Bontempelli
3 - Tom Liberatore
2 - Lachie Hunter
1 - Luke Dahlhaus

Close result with Bonts (113 of possible 140) from the brutal tackling machine in Liberatore (104). Lachie Hunter (51) takes 3rd place from Dahlhaus (39). Morris (10), Stringer (10), Macrae (9), Boyd (8) and Picken (6) were the others to record votes. Incidentally Stringer is the lowest polling 5 goal kicker I can recall in the 2 years I have been doing the tally. The probably is a sign of how many contributors we are getting in the team each week.

Pups
James

2 - Bonts
1 - Hunter

-

Very clear cut for the James with Bont (65 of a possible 70), from Hunter (30), with Macrae (7) and Stringer (3) also recording votes.
With the James there were a few instances of votes not following the Marmo. With these I do adjust to reflect that the top vote getters in the Marmo cannot drop down in the James if they are eligible. There are also a few woofers who do not award James votes. On these I transfer the votes based on the Marmo voting. This helps me ensure that I record the votes correctly.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Lachie Hunter -13
2 - Jason Johannisen, Marcus Bontempelli - 8
4 - Shane Biggs, - 7
5 - Luke Dahlhaus - 6.5

Bonti makes a big charge up the leaderboard to move to equal second behind Lachie Hunter.

James - Leaderboard
1 - Lachie Hunter - 7
2 - Caleb Danie, Marcus Bontempellil -4
4 - Jake Stringer, Marcus Adams - 3
6 - Jack Macrae - 2

The James sees Hunter consolidate from the Bont who has moved to equal 2nd.

Round 10: - Western Bulldogs v Collingwood votes

Marmo -

4 - Luke Dahlhaus
3 - Easton Wood
2 - Jack Macrae
1 - Caleb Daniel

Clear win for Dahlhaus (134 of possible 148) with Woofers clearly recognising his work ethic and ability to get the ball. Easton Wood (100), with his best game of the year takes second from Jack Macrae (76). There was a big gap in the votes to our fourth placegetter, which went to Caleb Daniel (17) from Morris (14), Suckling (12), Libba (9) and other votes to Dunkley (4), Campbell (2), Redpath and Hunter both with 1 vote.

Pups
James

2 - Macrae
1 - Daniel

Comfortable in the James with Macrae (69 of a possible 74) ahead of Daniel (21). Dunkley just missed with (16). Other votes to Adams (2) with Bont and Hunter scoring 1 vote each.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Lachie Hunter -13

5 - Jason Johannisen, - 8

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread. Apologies for delay this week as I am travelling....and I have missed both games and won't see them live until round 6

Round 11: - Western Bulldogs v West Coast votes

Marmo -

4 - Marcus Bontempelli
3 - Tom Liberatore
2 - Matthew Boyd
1 - Lachie Hunter

Comfortable margin for Bontempelli (103 of possible 148) at the close of counting. However, it was quite interesting doing the tally that the early voters favoured Matty Boyd and then Libba, but the later voters were strongly in favour of Bonts. Libba takes second position on 81 from Boyd (69). Hunter claims the minor vote with 39 from Jack Macrae (34). This also fluctuated throughout the count. There was a wide divergence in voting and overall 16 of the 22 got at least 1 vote across the 2 awards. In the Marmo Campbell was next with 10 Roberts (9), Biggs (7) Morris (6) and Suckling (5).

Pups
James

2 - Bontempelli
1 - Macrae

Comfortable in the James also for Bonts (64 of a possible 74) with Macrae (26) ahead of Hunter (17). Stringer and Daniel scored 1 vote each. This also throws up the anomaly of Macrae beating Hunter in the James, despite trailing him in the Marmo. This is created by the different number of votes awarded and the fact that there can be a James vote awarded without a Marmo by the same poster.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Lachie Hunter, Marcus Bontempelli -14
3 - Luke Dahlhaus - 10.5
4 - Jackson Macrae - 9
5 - Jason Johannisen, - 8
6 - Shane Biggs, - 7

Bontempelli moves up to join Hunter in the lead and our young talent continue to dominate the leaderboard.

James - Leaderboard
1 - Lachie Hunter, Jack Macrae, Marcus Bontempelli - 7
4 - Caleb Daniel - 5
5 - Jake Stringer, Marcus Adams - 3

Amazing that as great as Morris and Boyd have been, the young blokes are leading the way.....as we'd want it to be.

Not since the (presumed) Baby Bombers has a crop of kids stood out as much.
They have become so important to the structure of the team, the amount of players we have under 30 games (let alone 50 games) that are so important each week simply amazes me.
Hard to believe players like young Daniel have only played around 10 games and have become such imperative players for us.
Credit to all involved, but mostly credit to the kids for the pride and endeavour they put into wearing our jumper each week.

Marmo -

4 - Jack Macrae
3 - Dale Morris
1.5 - Matthew Boyd, Matthew Suckling

Very tight voting in a week where posters were a little reluctant to actually cast their votes in the lowest turnout for the season. Macrae (61 of possible 104) gets the top vote narrowly from Dale Morris (60). The third vote was shared with Matthew Boyd and Suckling both recording 37. Just behind in a strong performance was Bailey Williams (26) and Caleb Daniel (22). Other votes to Jong (6), Picken (5), Adams (4), with Stringer and Roberts receiving 1 each.

Here is the tally Board after our Round 18 game against St Kilda.

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 18: - Western Bulldogs v St Kilda votes
Marmo -

4 - Marcus Bontempelli
3 - Jack Macrae
2 - Jordan Roughead
1 - Easton Wood

A low voter response indicated it was a tough week for supporters (me included), however the result was significant in clarity for Bontempelli with 91 votes from a possible 92. Macrae(55) takes second place from Jordan Roughead (45) and Easton Wood (19). For Roughy this is the first occasion this year that he has featured in the top 4 votegetters. Other to score where Dunkley (9) Matthew Boyd (5), Johannisen and Picken 2 each. Smith and Daniel received a single vote each.

Pups
James

2 - Bontempelli
1 - Jack Macrae

In the James we were unanimous with Bont (46 of a possible 46) from Macrae (23) as the only 2 players to be recognised.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Marcus Bontempelli - 32
2 - Jackson Macrae - 18
3 - Lachie Hunter -17
4 - Tom Liberatore - 11
5 - Luke Dahlhaus - 10.5
6 - Koby Stevens, - 9

Bontempelli has now moved to a position where he is within one game of an unassailable lead. Macrae moves to second place, but is would need BOG this week to retain any chance of winning the award. Hunter is also a mathematical chance but would need to finish with BOG in every game.

James - Leaderboard
1 - Marcus Bontempelli - 17
2 - Jack Macrae - 11
3 - Lachie Hunter - 8
4 - Caleb Daniel - 6
5 - Jake Stringer, Marcus Adams - 3

The same 3 players are dominant for the James, but Macrae is only 3 games away from Bont. Hunter is little more off the pace but still mathematically possible.

Pups
James

2 - Bontempelli
1 - Tom Boyd

Also tight in the James with Bont (33 of a possible 56) from Boyd (27). Caleb Daniel (17), Dunkley (4) and Macrae (3) were the others to be recognised.

Marmo - Leaderboard

2 - Jackson Macrae - 18
3 - Lachie Hunter -17
4 - Luke Dahlhaus - 11.5
5 - Tom Liberatore - 11
6 - Koby Stevens, Shane Biggs - 9

Bontempelli is now looking unbeatable for the award. We would need to go deep into finals to give any other player a chance to catch up. With Macrae in second place on the injury list it does seem to be unlikely. Dahlhaus, back from injury, climbed one spot on the leaderboard.

James - Leaderboard
1 - Marcus Bontempelli - 19
2 - Jack Macrae - 11
3 - Lachie Hunter - 8
4 - Caleb Daniel - 6
5 - Jake Stringer, Marcus Adams - 3

Similar position in the James with Bonts having effectively a 4 game lead.

Pups

2 - Bontempelli
1 - Lin Jong

Clear cut in the James with Bont (59 of a possible 64) from Jong (16).Daniel (9), Roberts (6) and Hamling (2). Webb and Hunter each received a single vote. Note that on several occasions posters do award different votes for the James that do not correlate with the Marmo. They also somtimes award James votes to ineligible players (eg this week Shane Biggs). Whenever this occurs I endeavour to realign the James votes to match the Marmo order. Where posters do not list James votes, I still award them based on their Marmo votes. This also provides a check for me to ensure I have correct tallies and have not missed some votes.

Marmo - Leaderboard

1 - Marcus Bontempelli - 40
2 - Jackson Macrae - 18
3 - Lachie Hunter -17
4 - Luke Dahlhaus - 11.5

A clear victory for Liam Picken (84 of possible 88) in what was a low contribution week from Woofers. There was also limited depth in the votes with only 7 players receiving acknowledgement. Caleb Daniel (58) polled strongly from Johannisen (43) and Jong (16) just holding out Bontempelli(15). Others were matthew Boyd (3) and Hunter (1)

Pups

Johannisen moves up to 5th spot but there is no threat to Bontempelli. This week the remarkable point is that the Bont did not add to his tally.

2 - Jack Macrae - 11
3 - Lachie Hunter, Caleb Daniel - 8
5 - Jake Stringer, Marcus Adams - 3

Round 23: - Western Bulldogs v Fremantle votes
Marmo -

4 - Matthew Boyd
3 - Joel Hamling
2 - Tory Dickson
0.5 - Caleb Daniel, Dale Morris

A tight contest with low turnout of posters reflecting a lack lustre effort in a match that was effectively irrelevant to both supporters and players. Top votes go to Matthew Boyd (53 of possible 68) from Joel Hamling (45), Tory Dickson (24)and jointly Caleb Daniel and Dale Morris (both 19). Others to score where Dahlhaus and Johannisen both with 5. The only interesting aspect was Hamling and Dickson both getting on the tally board for the first time in 2016.

Pups
