2008 Members Pack

Well my 2008 members pack arrived today, what a joyous day!
One thing worth noting is the club has responded to the complaints/suggestions regarding the stickers, although i'm not sure if these will fade easy but the design is FAB!

The cap is a big improvement on last years.

I hated having "member" slashed across the front. I don't feel I need to emphasise the point.

i haven't liked any of the hats, they are too clownish in appearance and never fit well on my eggish head. They tend to look as though i'm wearing a tea cosy

I like the new hat, I didn't like last years and didn't wear it once, but I wore the one before that a lot. I was hoping for a different design for the keyring, I currently have 9 on my keys for school, 10 when this one comes ;)

Stickers ok. Nothing special.

Hat looks the same since the 54/04 hat. Like CD said, clownish.

Keyring hasnt changed. I really liked the jumper design keyring, IIRC that was the 54/04 aswell.

I know these wont effect peoples decision to become members but come on. Nothing looks like its changed for like 3 years. And i presume the scarf will be the same.

Anyway, thanks for posting.

All a bit same same.
I don't mind any of the designs although like some others i find the hats look daft on me and don't fit particularly comfortably.
What do the social club members think of the social club medallion?
It's similiar to last year which I also found a bit disappointing. It doesn't feel like much thought has gone into it and the shape is rubbish imo. Still just nitpicking.

i love the scarf though.

Sure it's the same as the 2 before it but i love the design, it's perfect and looks fantastic.

It's easily the most striking scarf of all the clubs in the afl.
When you see a group of wb supporters walking too or from a game the first thing you notice is the scarves.

Got mine today - don't mind the hat and scarf - but every year we get near enough to the same.

Instead of a new scarf every year - issue sew on badges with the year.

Social club medallion - pretty ordinary.

But saying that - I am still proud to wear them.

It's lost it's luster as far as I am concerned but it was bound to happen. It must be hard to put the excitement into a membership pack each year.
Perhaps something to do with Chris Grant like a token or a badge might have made it that much more exciting.

To answer your question regarding the Membership cards - the club will begin mailing them out on the 29th January, 2008 so for everyone that has signed before that date that is when we will receive them. If someone purchases a Membership after the 29 Jan then those cards will be mailed out at the end of Feb and so on.

There should have been a letter attached outside the box. Unfortunately after reading mine I put it in the recycling bin.

I agree about the scarf. It does look fantastic - we really do have the best colours.
