Rookie Jed Adcock has been elevated to the Club’s Primary List after being recruited to the Club with pick 46 in the 2015 rookie draft.The 30-year-old Adcock spent twelves seasons with the Brisbane Lions, including two as captain.
He will replace Clay Smith who has been transferred to the Long Term injury list.

Good news for Adcock, they must have an itch to give him a game soon.

Might be a sign that they are putting the brakes on Clay Smith a little as well. Holding him back until next year.

Bevo let him live at his house with his family until he found a place in Melbourne. I'd dare guess Bevo rates him highly.

He said at the player sponsors that he won't be upgraded until they think he is ready for a senior game. The club had been clear on that point. I suspect something else has changed

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed by him.

Having said that, Adams looked ordinary in the intra club and has improved with every game. I know Adcock is much more experienced, but getting used to a new club would still take a little bit of time.

Not sure why we elevated him right now, though.

I think he suits our style. Creates defensive pressure and can play in multiple positions. I think it's exactly what Beveridge is looking for in the 20-22 spots.

We've still got an extremely young list with an average of 57 games. He's a 200 game player who brings a wealth of experience and composure to a young group.

I don't think Adcock was playing to impress Dogs supporters in the NAB. The older players know it's a long year, and I can recall him saying this in a club interview. I think he'll go ok when the chips are down.

Yep. We've seen what he can do over a good career at Brissie over 200 odd games. Im not sure why one praccy match is so important

I would prefer that Adcock is used as a last resort and would prefer the likes if Dale, Hrovat, Jong and Webb to be played before him.

An experienced player with a few games left in him that may show his old club that he could have played some more useful football for them.

Bev confirmed player management in the first portion of the season will be important due to the six day break issue. His elevation tells me some players will be rested and replaced by experience and youth alike.
