Some media reporting Harley Bennell out indefinantly. 'Calf problems'. When did kids start calling a Coca-Cola problem 'a calf problem'?

best to keep big statements to a minimum about a players Coca Cola problems.

Fair call. I'm a Diet Coke man myself and I try not to judge.

Bloody auto correct, or rather auto-incorrect.

I try for nothing but water for me. Maybe. few cups of coffee or tea a day(cutting that down) and a alcoholic drink a couple of times a year(depends on the company I'm in). I make a point of not drinking fizzy sugary drinks. Maybe a couple of times in summer.

Maybe he should try that Zero Coke for a change.

In WA isn't it all about having a Coke Life?

While it's a shame that Bennell is injured and out for an extended period I think Rocket must be happy that the trade went through.
Injury aside, I'm glad we weren't interested in him when he was being shopped around.

Apparently has had calf issues all his football career to date.

From memory you were pretty keen for us to land him. Why was that?

Talent.

Talent.

Talent gets you on a list. From there it's up to a guy how far he wants to go. That involves making sacrifices, being disciplined and working hard. I don't think Bennell is that interested in doing those things.

Well, he had his chance. A lot of players would not get a second.

How much do we all know about him?

There's some fairly disparaging and cheap insinuations in this thread. We can do better.

Agree, this is a bit ordinary . Baseless assertions

Talent.

Given his injury concerns it can't be as easy as that though.

Then there is the likes of Dayle Garlett who had plenty of talent but most clubs still stayed away from him for 2 years.

True there is more to picking a player than just talent. I am just an outsider observing that Bennell can play football and very well. On his day, he is an A Grader.

You asked me why I was interested in him and I just gave you an outsiders view. I didn't really know about his calf issues throughout his career until I read an article the other day. As far as drugs are concerned, we don't know what he does in his private life (other than something he did 3 years ago as a very young lad), so we shouldn't be commenting on it.

Done his calf for the 84th time. Unknown when back. Me thinks it’s getting close to being over.
