Juast heard on the radio (SEN) that Cam Wight had a broken foot and that Gia had maybe done our favourite injury (the ACL). Repots from the Bulldogs have dismissed this but he will be getting a scan and is expected back next week. Any other rumours/facts?

Let's hope that neither are true. Both would be bad losses.

That's so not cool. Hope it turns out to be not as serious as an ACL.

Bugger. I suppose the only up side is that we'll probably see more of Harbrow.
Is Wight's foot a Hird/Williams type of injury?

The people on SEN seem pretty certain about Wight being on crutches

We think the report on SEN was mentioning White the cricketer not Wight the footballer.
The Seddon Spy rarely gets it wrong
That makes sense now.

No loss to us then, or indeed to cricket.

Apparently Gia will miss 6-8 weeks of preseason after twisting his knee. At least some of that will be the Christmas break.
Giansiracusa setback

Daryl Timms and Gareth Trickey
WESTERN Bulldogs midfielder Daniel Giansiracusa yesterday suffered a setback to his pre-season campaign when he twisted his knee during training.
Knee injury: Daniel Giansiracusa.
An scan of the knee revealed ligament damage which will sideline him for eight weeks.
Giansiracusa damaged his knee during a skill's session.
He walked from the ground but an MRI scan revealed ligament problems.
The club's medical staff have ruled him out for between six to eight weeks.
Although the doctors say he probably doesn't need that long on the sidelines, they are being cautious because it is the pre-season and he has extra time to recover.
Giansiracusa will be available for the start of the season.

Would it be 6-8 before he can start running again or 6-8 of full training. If he only missed a month it wouldnt be that bad and he could still keep his fitness fairly high.

Real weeks not training weeks.
