Dogs vs Essendon this week. The media are reporting he still hasn't committed to Essendon and that the Dogs are the main club who could snare his services. Hopefully our boys put on a major spectacle that makes his decision even easier, also I wonder if our supporters, banner and/or cheer squad should or will make respectable & dignified banners/flags/signs showing our genuine support for Michael Hurley and that our fan base is welcoming & enthusiastic about him becoming a Bulldog. If he's watching from home, it might be a nice, sincere and strong public show of the Western Bulldogs fan base's support for Michael, unlike the smart arse Geelong stuff last year.
This is my modern take on the 20c Chris Grant story & a change.org petition. If Michael (& the club) can make this happen, I pledge to take out a third Bulldogs Backyard package next year so 27 underprivileged kids can see Michael & others in the tri-colours in 2017.
Western Bulldogs fans and members support you and desire you at our club Michael, and we welcome you with excited and open arms on the journey to a premiership. #BulldogsForHurley

Best our fan base express our enormous support for him as a potential bulldog then, with many welcoming arms at an exciting club with a bright on field future.

I don't believe anything written in that piece of crap, ever.
That being said, if Essendon aren't announcing good news soon, it's Callan Ward all over again. Only this time we stand to win.

Still love coons. For all the issues he's had, 250 is a great effort.

Here, here - was a terrific footballer for us - That brownlow year was electric
IMO we shouldn't lose sight (and i think we do) of him buggering his knee playing for us - it was courageous for him to back up in finals with an injured knee
I'll always have some love for Cooney

Would love for one of our players to be involved with chairing him off!

Great idea. Someone like Boyd who was a cohort back in his prime.

Of course we will. Half arsing his last few years with us wasn't entirely his fault - if his knee held up who knows what he would have been.
As it stands he was an electric player at his best, and a real character at the club. I'll always remember him fondly and hope we give him a rousing send off.

Has to refer to either esky lid sliding or burger rings.

I'd like to see Coons and Tommy Boyd swap jumpers after the game so Adam can be chaired off wearing the tricolours and his number 17 that he wore as a star with us.

Except poor old Tommy has to leave with a too tight Bombres Guernsey. That's cruel and unusual punishment.

Now that's a step too far. Perhaps a number 17 jumper over his shoulder.
Would love for one of our players to be involved with chairing him off!
Would be a very well deserved tribute, imaging our players will line up for him but one chairing him as well would be say "no hard feelings Coon Dog, you are still one of us".

Or doing the worm down into the players race.
