That's true the MCG has really good drainage.

That would be our largest crowd since the 2006 elimination final against the pies, and third or so highest ever.

We did hit 78k against the saints in the 2009 PF, and 76k against the hawks in the 2008 QF.

May get some drop off from the hawks fans as they went last week and lost. Hopefully it's a big one.

Yep - the way they played on Friday night - it was almost 100% dry - after it p1ssed down all day and only stopped half an hour before hand.

I was sitting row A on Friday night - and the surface was absolutely magnificent.

Remember being at the cricket at the G one day years ago and it was bucketing down, the ground was a lake. Then the rain stopped and I watched the water literally draining away like they'd let out a bath plug. Minutes later they were playing like nothing had happened (that's how I remember it, anyway!) Magnificent drainage.

I'd be very surprised if it was only 75-80K.

Seems to be shaping up as an 80+....just going by the bulldogs member and the MCC member experience.

Typically for a bulldogs final - we are able to get balcony passes for our non-MCC bulldogs crew. Not available this time. And even Level 1 and Level 4 reserved tickets have disappeared early. Only 1 Melbourne final per week makes a big difference - and we also have plenty of bandwagoners!!!

Last night was like nothing he has ever experienced.

The march, the noise, the excitement in the crowd, it was just a complete experience.
