This guy has taken us to our first GF since 1961, not even two years after Shocktober.

You are an absolute legend.

I love you for what you have done for this club. Thank you.

Post your love for the man.

An unbelievable coaching and team performance. Us supporters whinged and monad about winning 16 games and finishing seventh, an arsey Hawtorn win that sent us to Perth for an unwinnablle first final and a thousand other things.

But not our players. They just got on with the job.

I loved in his presser he said he a had a chat with Bob a few days ago, re emotions etc. he said to Bob, 'we are a better team with you in it. So think what we can do next year with you back'. Perfect words from a perfect coach. Surely best coach two years running for him. Fair to say I like the lad and how he revolutionised a dated game plan into a grand final one in two years!!

Do you know what's even better? He loves it too. Seriously the best coach in the game right now, what he has achieved through adversity is astounding. This team is playing for him and each other. Bev inspires individuals into new roles and brings the team together. Bev creates opportunities out of tragedy. Watch the highlighters to see how invested he is. Emotional intelligence personified because he believes in individuals.

Controversial post:

IMO Bev's predecessor Macca deserves some credit too. Remember his "crack in" mantra?

It was there in spades throughout this finals series and most of the season.

And he wanted Clay Smith, and we can see why.

Agree entirely, and as much as McCartney had no tactical nous that's one important finals attribute the players have .

Totally. Macca had no game day tactics and no plan B. But he started the inside first mantra AND the recruit good men policy. Bevo is the the coachess with the mostess.

Can he get an extension on an extension. I read an article which was about Bevo but really about Darcy. It said when they asked Luke to be on the panel for selection he wouldn't do it unless they interview Bevo. If the story is correct I would also like to thank Luke Darcy and Simon Garlic who also had to talk the Saint into releasing him to go for the job.

But on Bevo, fellow woofers we have hit the mother load....

Was about to mention Macca. There was fair bit of his philosophy out there yesterday. Ferocious attack on the ball and relentless pressure of the opposition. Just when you think the Giants are away another bulldog appears with a crucial act.

Great post. I kept saying to fellow doggies on bus trip home that Bevo's high EQ is astounding. Thank You Darcy for suggesting we consider Bevo as our coach, plus I loved Darcy's heart in sleeve call in last few moments of game.

Apologies if this was answered on another thread - but just in regards to the letter from Bevo and the $10....I'm interested to know - whether anyone knows if the $10 x 400 people ($4000) was provided PERSONALLY by Luke Beveridge? Or was it the club/Geelong travel who organised it (as essentially a $10 discount to the bus fare)?

Pretty impressive if Bevo personally dished out $4K.

Gerard Whately said he spoke to an unnamed AFL player who after seeing what Bevo did for Bob said he'd love to play under Bevo.

You can see why Cloke and others want to come for a coach in Bevo.

Well he'll have a 'Spirit of Sport' award even if he doesn't get a replacement premiership medal.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-western-bulldogs-coach-luke-beveridge-to-receive-spirit-of-sport-award-20161003-gru6uo.html

Sounds rather exclusive with it not being handed out every year.

I'd like to take him to his favourite restaurant, have a candle lit dinner, arrange a mariachi band to play 'Western Bulldogs Taking Over' and after dessert (that we share), present him with a commitment ring.

Maybe Fyfe. How good would it be seeing The Bont and Fyfe playing alongside each other next season. Would trump the Dangerfield and Selwood pairing.

BT, you're great at this, how could we make it happen ?

What do we think of Bevo's brief now days?
I like the idea of being in the rooms with the players all be it a condensed version rather than him trying to give us a spiel after the game.

I love it. Great to see what he says to the players about the performance. I doubt we will see the same vision when we lose.
