Well Airport West is closer to Melb airport so you could get it there and then head down to Geelong.

Picked up Standing tickets at Carlton Newsagent in Lygon St. No queue at all.

Lygon st is a nice area to spent for lunch and coffee. Tickets pickup is also possible at the Carlton Newsagent.

They will ask you for Credit card, Photo iD and mobile number.

There is also an agency at the Performing Arts Centre, 50 Little Malop St in Geelong.

Went to airport West today around 4:45 and the line was massive. The security guard said I probably wouldn't get served before closing time (5:30). I'll try lygon st tomorrow I think.

One down in the south west out Werribee way would have alleviated the strain on that ticketek.

What a disaster. If you live in the West of Melbourne you have 3 choices - CBD, Airport west or Geelong.
Heard Airport West was a disaster so wife drove to Geelong to collect tickets.
