View Full Version : I wonder...

What Luke Goetz is thinking. He could've been in a VFL Premiership and around the club for an AFL Premiership and party time... Missed life opportunity.
What Michael Talia is thinking. Probably not much in a general sense, but started the preseason potting us and much better Sydney training was and ended it a cocaine charge.
What Michael Hurley is thinking. Clearly money was the overriding factor, but he could've been around it and especially going ahead.
What Gryphone is thinking. Sitting at home watching the club and players he abandoned in pure elation.
What Sydney is thinking. Should've they given Biggs more opportunity, or bid on Dunkley.
What the other players who walked out are thinking.

I wonder if Higgins still thinks he made the right decision.

I would like to thank those ex players for making room for so we could get the right types to win a Premiership.

I wonder if Mickey T still thinks Sydney is a much fitter side than us as he proclaimed in the pre-season.

Fitting that JJ was one of the players who chirped back at him on Twitter about it.

I wonder how Ayce Cordy would have gone if he'd had half of Zaine's mongrel?

Quite hilarious that NB said he thought we couldn't win based on our finals history. This from a man who was in the leadership group under failed StKilda finals campaigns. Given their history, it's no wonder they failed given that mindset.

I'm kind of glad one of them got all of the mongrel and we've finally found him though

One comment I heard post the GWS game is that we should be thanking Ayce Cordy for the win because he taught us how to ruck to the opposition ruckman (which was pretty important once Mumford was on top after half time)
A bit rough but maybe fair.

Brad Johnson, Chris Grant, Rohan Smith, Scott West and Luke Darcy didn't leave..........no time whatever for those who did for purely mercenary reasons..........I'll take loyalty over that any day.

Thank you Talia for giving playing time to Roberts, Hamling and Adams and ridding us of your toxic behaviour
Thank you Sydney for Biggs and Dunkley
Thank you Higgins for Lukas Webb and ensuring we had players with work rate
Thank you Liam Jones for Caleb Daniel
And lastly, thank you Griffen (happy to use his name now) for the greatest thing in the world - a Premiership, not possible this year without Bevo and Tom Boyd.

Then the longer trade trail is Lake for whatever we get for them. Like McMahon got the pick for Ward, of which that compo got Macrae.

I wonder if that Hawthorn supporter who waved his cap at me while I was driving home from work the day we dismantled them in the semi final was on our bandwagon by Grand Final day.

Exactly. Didn't want to see him again at our club. We won a premiership without him anyway. The partnership with VUT is proven to work well without his involvement.
