Awful case of salmonella poisoning going around so I hear. I think it's from imported Seafood. Apparently it's pretty vicious while you have it, but it only lasts 24 hours. Anyhoo.

My plans to drive down for the East West day have just disappeared. This is perfect.

Anyone with an idea on how this matches up with training sessions?

It's from scallops and stuff from Hobson's Bay I think. They said shellfish had been exposed to algael bloom there.

Be nice if they brought it over to WA for the rd3 game, give us WA supporters a chance to see it (after all WA is where our premiership assault started).

That's right. The boys saw the cup at the airport in Perth one time didn't they?

Anyone heading over for the open training and cup photos session tomorrow, from 3pm-5pm?

I'm looking forward to it - my last taste of Bulldogs before I head back to London for the season!

I got to hold the silverware today...oh it's 1am, yesterday rather. Wow o wow o wow. What a feeling! It was a surreal moment. It still hasn't been engraved Western Bulldogs yet unfortunately, but oh well. If you haven't held it yet do yourself a favour and get your arse down there and do it, it's awesome. It's ours!!

At the premiership party at the Whitten Oval I got a photo with the premiership cup but we were not allowed to hold it. Was great to get the opportunity on Saturday at the WB East meets West Day to get a photo with the cup again and actually hold the cup. Just still amazing to be the premiers.

I believe that they will engrave the cup once it has finished its tour. All our Western Bulldogs supporter groups got an opportunity to get a photo with the cup which is just excellent.

We went to the East West day on Saturday. We waited approximately an hour but it was so very worth it. Still can't to terms with it .... the AFL Premiership Cup is ours. So good to hold the thing aloft and share a pic with my family. Feeling blessed.

I guess we would have waited 30 minutes but I wouldn't have complained at all if it was an hour longer because the queue turned out to be a lot of fun despite the heat. The Coon Dog came along just to provide a quick critique of my Hawaiwain shirt from what I could see because he'd already had his photo taken with the cup. Westdog54 was there too-one thing that's been great has been hearing everyone's Grand Final days.

Ha, was that you in the Hawaiian shirt? I can't imagine why anyone would be critiquing it!

I was about 10 people in front of you, and agree that it was absolutely worth the wait!

Went along today. What a buzz to finally hold that cup! Brilliant. They actually started the photos around 1.15, probably looking at the crowd that had gathered. I was in the middle of lunch, finished that and joined the queue. Was probably 15-20 minutes before I was up, the guy overseeing it was pretty good.

Aren't premierships brilliant?

Yep, sure are. No less of a rush going back to WO today than the last time I went. Players out having lunch, Granty and G.Lowe having lunch nearby, I was a bit starstruck- and then they brought the cup out!

Who takes the photo and do you take your own camera?

Ozza
20-01-2017, 08:54 AM
Most people use their phones - but either way, you bring your own and if you don't have anyone to take your photo - the fan engagement guy who is running it, takes your photo. He was doing a fantastic job keeping it moving quickly, and getting it done properly.

I got photos with my son, and also by myself - and he quickly took half a dozen of each, and we were all done in probably 45 seconds.

How good is it when you first lay eyes on it with the tricolour streamers! It's like a fairy tale all wrapped up in one little cup. Evokes so much emotion.

bump - the reason I asked is that there might be a chance tomorrow late afternoon to get close-up with the cup (Don't quote me if this doesn't happen) at a private property in the western suburb. Anyone living around there (footscray, maidstone, braybrook, sunshine) can PM me for more detail. I will only entertain max. 5-10 peoples since this is supposed to be private :)

Will they be doing something like this again. Unfortunately I worked during the day the last 3 weeks, I usually work late afternoon.

I'd love to get a picture with my son and I holding it. Choco I'd be in and out of there and find something to do with my son around WO afterwards. Edit sorry late afternoon doesn't work.

Sorry to hear you can not stay in the area for the afternoon with your son.

I have been told, it would be around 5:30-6:00pm. And around for ca. 2h. I can't wait for it to happen and have some pictures taken with the Premiership Cup :)

Cheers,

For us WA supporters

The WA Western Bulldogs Supporters Club are excited to announce that the Cup will be flown over to Perth for an exclusive showing at the Inglewood Hotel on Friday 7th April 2017 from 7pm

Your chance to get a photo with the Cup in the lead up to the game against Freo the next day.

To help raise money for the club and make it accessible to as many people as possible, there will be a $5 (cash only) charge for every photo with you and the Cup.

We have the back verandah of the Inglewood exclusively for us. There is no cover charge or booking fee.

You must confirm your attendance (and how many people) so we can manage the numbers, as there are licensing requirements we need to adhere to.

Limited spots are available...so if you are interested, confirm your place via email to me, Darren Joseph with you name and if there will be anyone else joining you.

darrenjoseph4@gmail.com

I will correspond via email if there are changes or if we get overbooked.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Go Doggies..
