WOOF Player Awards - Round 10, 2017 v St Kilda

Welcome to the WOOF Player Awards for season 2017, Round 10 Western Bulldogs playing St Kilda.

There are two awards that you can vote on once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm.

The first award is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2017.

4. Daniel....in a poor game riddled by errors, Daniel stood out and was the most influential player on the ground.
3. Adams....loved the he big fella's game. Defended well and didn't give McCartin a sniff.
2. Stringer....thought his kicking was pretty good and he was our most dynamic forward.

4. Stringer. Thought he was the difference. In a game with no other multiple goal kicker - he kicked 5. But most of all, he lead up at the footy and was a very good team mate.
3. Johannisen - Rebounded, used the ball well, involved in plenty of scores and broke the lines in a game screaming out for it.
2. Daniel - Was huge in the second quarter when the game was on the line.
1. Dale - 10 score involvements. His best game by a mile, was clean and creative. Great that we might have found another player.

4. Daniel - demanded the ball for a quarter at half forward and was key at some spOils in Defence. Love his work in at the stoppages

4. Stringer - Played at the ball instead of trying to get easy ones over the back or take speccy of the year. Also seemed to amend his set shot kicking routine. Was slower and approached in a direct straight line instead of leaning left, then leaning right and making a mess of it.

3. Macrae - Goes unnoticed a lot but his last few weeks have been fantastic

2. Daniel - Much better game. Unlike against Geelong where he held onto the ball too long and turned the ball over way almost every kick, back to his best.

1. Wood - Such a classy player and deserving of the next captain of the club. Was close to giving Adams a vote but thought Wood was a little more reliable. Adams always has his 'Oh No' moments and while he played a good game he still found himself in the wrong position occasionally.

1. Dale - Much better game, actually got involved and did some of the hard stuff. I still have my doubts on him in big finals type games but he took a big step forward I thought.

Interesting comment. I would have agreed but Dale convinced me otherwise last week against Geelong, playing a team revved up after some poor performances, on their own dung heap where we always struggle. That was a high pressure game (finals-like) and he really stood up.
