I was at the Powell a few weeks ago, nicely renovated, my father was on the darts team there in the 70s, also the old haunting ground for the trainers in the 80s.
They do fish n chips for $5 can you believe it !

If you move out of Footscray, yes The Spotty is good - particularly for night games. Although for day games it can be a bit hit and miss. I remember going to the Spotty to watch a Dogs game one afternoon and a band set up in front of the screen. I couldn't believe it - in front of a Doggies game in a Spotswood pub?!
Great pub to watch o/s Test tours in the evening. Particularly in the armchairs by the fire.
In Williamstown, the Prince Albert is good and in Altona, the Altona Sports Club is a fun place to watch. Lots of Dogs fans in both.
Would have to agree with the previous posters who call out the Powell as the pub of choice at the moment. Hopefully the Vic/Harts Hotel reopens with one or two tellies... although I have my doubts..

Harts is slated to reopen post footy season but like Webby says I doubt it will be anything like the old place. I betcha the carpet won't even be sticky anymore.
I haven't been in a pub in Footscray for ages.

Railway in Yarraville is a good option.
Spottiswoode is hit an miss and rarely has the volume up.
