How do we see Mitch going in 2018? Will be break through this year in the AFL? Is a solid VFL player but can he translate that to AFL level. He did ok in the AFL games before that facial injury. Will be competing with the new guys at the club as well.

He'll just be depth. I think it was a testament to how poor our smalls were doing that he got the extended run.

He will be concerned if Crozier gets played up forward. Gowers is already a capable pressure forward and Crozier is a high flying small utility.

He will get some chances and he needs to make sure he kicks the goals that he should.
I'd be working on my goal kicking even doing extra sessions if I was Honeychurch.

He has the ability to be in the right spot at the right time but last year his goal kicking let him down. He is tenacious and is the type of player we need in out forward line. I along with others hope he can improve his goal kicking. If he can he just might fit into our team as the small forward we are missing.

This year is his last chance to prove he can play at AFL level. Bevo has given him plenty of chances and he just hasn't taken them or lived up to it.

Number one candidate to be delisted unless he comes good.

Love his tenacity, it's the efficiency and hurt factor with his limited possessions which has let him down.

He's up against it, but we can guarantee he will give his all. If he can become a more effective player and hit the scoreboard maybe he figures in our forward setup.

I don't think he has the tank or size to play through the middle at AFL level so he has to be a gun small forward who takes his chances.
This he is not despite his attack on the ball.
While starring at VFL level he consistently has a poor conversion rate, I can't see this changing, it's just how it is.
Unfortunately there isn't room for honest goers who aren't elite in a specialist area.

If he could go into the middle and offer something that might help but I can't see that happening.

Not his biggest fan, but one thing he has in his favour is the fact that we basically have no small forwards and even though I think he plays more like a midfielder than a small forward, at AFL level that's his only chance of making it.

My gut says he will be a good contributor at VFL and a "nearly" at AFL. Nearly had an impact, nearly kicked a goal, nearly took a screamer, nearly stuck the tackle.

I'm holding hope the margins fall in his favour. Kicks a bit straighter last year and the narrative around him is very different. But he didn't. We didn't. And that is a big factor in why we missed finals and he almost found himself out of the system.

I tend to think you are about on the money with your Honeychurch assessment but like you I hope a few things fall his way and he gets a decent chance to establish himself. He has to convert his goal chances as it's been a real issue for him.

If he could start converting his chances it would provide him with a skill that's sadly lacking in most of our forwards and would almost make him invaluable. If I were him I'd do as much goal kicking practice as I possibly could when I was at the club and the first thing I'd do when I'd finished is drive to another football ground and practice shooting at goal until it got dark.
