WOOF 2018 Player Awards - Round 2 vs the Eagles

Welcome to the WOOF Player Awards for season 2018, Round 2 Western Bulldogs vs West Coast Eagles.

There are two awards that you can vote on once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm.

The first award is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2018.

4. Jackson Macrae - quiet 1st Q but was easily our best by the end.
3. Toby McLean - great 2nd half and found plenty of ball. Laid a few good sheapards.

2. Lauchy Hunter - was ok but liable defensively (most midfielders were)
1. Matt Suckling - best of the rest (could at least break the game open a few times)

4. Macrae - if anyone doesn’t give Macrae their 4 votes, the mods should suspend them! Love that he has put work into improving his kicking, and is adopting a more creative/attacking mindset. Not many players have obviously addressed flaws like him in recent times.

3. Hunter - along the lines of Macrae. Not to the same extent, but Lachy is going well.

2. McLean - probably our hardest footballer at the moment.

1. Bont - was our best player to half time, then tagged out of it. But the first half was good enough for a vote on a bad day for the club. As a leader of the club, and the captain in waiting - I wonder if he is mystified as to why the coach has clearly chosen to rebuild the club after he played in a premiership 24 games ago.
