It has amazed me in my short time on WOOF and BF to see the same posters daily putting in their opinions/ critiques/ etc..
The question I would like to ask is how?
As a father and FT worker I rarely have time to scratch my arse yet alone write detailed reports on a web page about a true passion.
Some of the great pieces on here, and there are many, must take considerable time to put together.
It is worth noting that after time you get to realise when people write. For example Dry Rot is a night owl and plys his trade in the wee hours.
For me, I work at a hotel and when I upload my computer daily I also upload WOOF and then minimise. I am lucky in the fact that I have my own office so I can flick from screen to screen however I am constantly flicking as people enter my office! I hope that my IT department don't see a trend and cut me off but that I suppose is the risk you take.
How do others out there contribute to make this site the valuable resource it is?
Please explain as I think I need to evaluate!

I jump in and out from work when i have the opportunity. All it needs is 5 minutes here and there. I also try and get on late at night when I can get my children off the computer.

I read BF and this forum quite a lot, but I'm a bit like Mr. Ed. I "never speak unless I've got something to say". Most of the time what I have to say on a particular issue, someone's already said it, and simply agreeing simply seems tacky.

If I don't have a strong opinion on the issue I simply don't post.

It's the start of year 11 for me so the teachers are giving us lots of homework just for the sake of giving out homework, currently trying to find all of the State Premiers and opposition leaders and NT and ACT's CEO's...which is taking 5 times longer than it should.

It's a shame Nick, your opinions are always well thought out and expressed. I'd like to read more of them.



Anyway I have a job that allows me time to go to training and can even be done at training. I've been going to training since I was old enough to be allowed to walk to the ground by myself in the late '70s. I've always loved the close up view and getting to see how hard the players work at their craft and finding out their strengths and weaknesses early. When the 'net started and then bulldog sites came along it was just a natural thing to share the training news with all the other tragics.

I woof as I'm easily distracted at work and can usually get away with it, and tend to just kick around music and sports websites at home when I've got the time.
Sometimes I don't post for a while, others I post in a torrent of any old crap that comes out.
I used to do BF too, but my time constraints have led to me being on their hardly ever and focusssing on here. Not to mention that this is far more informative and fun.

I think they all must have changed since those guys because they're all different to what I got, thanks for that though, they were a struggle to find but we went through them today in class. Plus my teacher told us that ACT and NT have CEO's when they're actually Chief Ministers...so that was an extra obstacle! It's a pretty interesting subject though.

Yeah, it's International Politics, units 3 & 4 are National Politics. Economics is another fun class, I'm doing those 2, Geography, Literature, Maths Methods and Psychology 3 & 4.

Maths Methods is the middle maths one, General is the easiest and Specialist/Advanced is the hardest one, you do that as well as Methods if you do it, and it gets marked up something like 20+/50 because it's so hard.

My economics class is quite small, 9 people, same with Politics, and there are only 2 girls in eco, apparently it's more popular with guys...oh well.

At school we can get the Age really cheap when we do a subject that might need it so I'm getting it every school day for the year for $10...I can see myself using it mostly for the sports section, but it might come in handy.

Trust me, the Age comes in far more handy for studying economics than the Herald-Sun. I respect Terry McCrann but he's the only decent business reporter they've got. The Age actually makes people think. That's why the Herald-Sun is more popular, you don't need to do any thinking to process it.
