The next Western Bulldogs’ training session available for fans to watch will be held at 10.30am AEST on Tuesday, April 9, at VU Whitten Oval.

Barkers Café will be open, there will be memberships available for purchase, and merchandise specials including:


2018 junior jumper, socks, shorts and a choice of a football for $100 ($200 value)
Bonte Bleacher Creature and football for $40 ($60 value)
$5 lucky dip
Bulldogs members can show their membership card when making a purchase at Barkers Café to go into the draw to win a $200 Bulldogs Shop voucher.

Yes, I got the invite but unfortunately can't make it due to my son's state baseball champs this weekend.

They have me in the 15 year member bracket so no invite. I've been a member since I was able to walk (44 now) but I dropped off for about 5 years in my early 20's. So it's obviously consecutive years which sort of sucks if you ask me especially when it comes to special invites and benefits like these.

Only my 7th consecutive year as a Dogs member so 23 more consecutive years till I get to 30 consecutive years as a Dogs member.

I look forward to the training report BAD.

Went along today and joined about 100 or so 30 plus year members on the balcony. We were given egg and bacon muffins and some juices. When the boys came out, we went down to the fence. It was a captains run, so not much happened other than some kicking drills, and handball practise. Noticed, Bont, Lippa, Dale, Libba didn't join in the kicking drills. They stood in a circle handballing to each other.

The boys finished off with goal kicking practise (yeah I know ), but again Bont didn't join in. Hopefully he was just taking it easy.

The whole session was about 45 minutes and the players finished up walking along the boundary fence signing jumpers etc and taking photos. I had a quick chat to Moz and young West wishing them all the best.

So overall, not alot to report, good of the club to organise it.

Interesting. I've been a member since 83 but missed in 87. So 31 consecutive years. I contacted the club the other day to clarify why i hadn't received an invite. Their email response was '..the invite only went out to 30 consecutive year membership. So anyone who is 31 year plus consecutive wouldn't have got an invite....'

Does this sound a bit strange? I mean i'm glad for anyone who gets invited. But does this mean you could have someone who has been a consecutive member for 51 years not get invited to an event but that a 10 year member does??:confused:

Actually that is rubbish. I have been a consecutive member since 1974. In fact I ran into the women that sit behind me at Marvel, and one has been a member for 63 years. They were spinning lies to you. Ask to speak to their supervisor and make sure you are on the right list.

Opening Training - Thursday 5th September

Western Bulldogs fans are encouraged to get to VU Whitten Oval on Thursday morning for the 10:15am open training session. There will be plenty of family friendly activities with football inflatables, colouring in stations, Giant Jenga and Connect Four as well as a photobooth and giveaways.
