This is the round 11, 2019 edition of the weekly Bankers and Anchors thread. Once the game against West Coast is concluded post your nominations for:

The Bankers = 3 guys/aspects of the game that we banked on to do the right thing during the game
The Anchors = 3 guys/aspects of the game that weighed us down by their errors or poor play

Please limit it to no more than three of each player or aspect of the game, but feel free to make honourable/dishonourable mentions. As usual try to make it constructive criticism.

Try and restrict it to individual players rather than aspects of the overall match - I will allow more freedom now as the thread seems to be going down more of the aspects of the game path so you can have 3 for each made up of aspects of the game and individual players.

The thread is named in honour of a popular WOOF Contributor, The Banker, who passed away on 22/04/2012 after a six month battle with cancer.

Sorry, no participation award bankers this week. It was a shithouse team effort.

A

Weak efforts. JJ...
Shit goal kicking.
Not even yelping after half time.

Bankers

He had one howler, but JJ largely worked hard and ran all evening.
Dunks is about the only midfielder who can hold his head high. 4 Centre Clearances, and was hard at it all game.
That's about it for Bankers

Anchors
1. Macrae, Bont, Lipinski, and anyone else who was at stoppages, you stank. Either let your man walk away with an easy clearance or else you butchered the ball.
2. Cordy. Got absolutely flogged tonight.
3. Bont. I've never put Bont in the Anchors, but he went at 55% efficiency, and it looked like it. Missed targets by hand early on, then by foot later and returned 1 goal 3 points. Love Bont, but that was crap.

Bankers
The bye to freshen up and hopefully change things up.
Dunkley, continues to impress in the middle.
Smith, given a year at AFL level this kid will be really good.

Anchors
The Macrae knockers, so he was down on his usual form, since when did you forget he carried the midfield for the last 3 years at A grade level ?
The critics of Tim English, give the kid some time. MC find him some support.
The AFL review system, failed at the G on Saturday, failed at Optus today, will cost a team a premiership one day.

Bankers, anyone who made the trip. You knew this was likely, but you shelled out anyway. Respect.
