Obviously in reference to Libba in 97, sounds like he is still frustrated by it. Will have to listen to the podcast later on.

Paul was a great acquisition at the time, kicking plenty of goals and what I remember he was very accurate. Dale is a similar type of player and hopefully he can get some consistency into his game and also be a big goal scorer.

Tremendous player for us
Brilliant set shot for goal as well from all angles
Vividly remember a beauty against the pies in I think 2000 at marvel from the boundary
Drop punt as well

I have always found it hard to forgive Hudson's failure to shephard Grant.

Don't. Go. There.

I was sitting right behind those goals and it was a goal for sure. The Adelaide supporters around us knew because were in the aisles and hearing for the exits before the umpire signalled a behind. The goal umpire was literally the only person in the vicinity who thought it wasn't a goal.

Agreed we were on the wing looking directly at the goals and it wasn't even close to missing as it went straight through. I still can't work out how he gave a point as Sportsbet didn't exist then.

Up until 2016, that was part of my favourite 3 game stretch as a Dogs barracker. We beat Carlton to end their very long wining streak (and by 'We', I mean Garlic with a bit of help from a lucky Bartlett). Then we got the Pies narrowly with Hudson kicking a beauty to seal it - might still be the most memorable set shot I've seen. And then we ended the Dons chance to go through the season undefeated (I don't count Grant's snap in that game as a set shot, because he played on, but it was glorious nonetheless).

Likewise. Wish I could say the same for 98....

I was at that game. We were comfortably in front at 3QT and Collingwood got within 3 points.

Hudson's goal slammed the door shut on them. It was an absolute peach.

Actually Libba came on halfway through the last quarter in the Collingwood game ran straight to the pack and pretty much refused to give the footy back until the siren went. It was an amazing display of single mindedness even for Libba.

I knew he'd do it though, right from the moment he ran onto the ground.

Can we all agree to stop posting in this thread, mainly so it stops appearing in my “unread posts” feed....

Agreed my bro and me were behind goals and didn't doubt it was a goal, clearly inside goal post. Umpire error.
Funny but '16 GF didn't ameliorate the pain if that loss.

2016 makes it easier to handle for me.

The Giants win numbed the pain while the GF win made it disappear forever.
