The premiership medal of Western Bulldogs defender Easton Wood has been stolen in a home burglary.

The prized medal, along with other extremely sentimental items, were taken from Wood’s home recently.

Thankfully, Wood and his family were not home at the time of the burglary.

Port Philip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have launched an investigation to try to recover the items.

Among the other items stolen was a silver World War 1 service identification tag, engraved with ‘Sayers SA 1830’ on the front and ‘Nugget’ on the back.

Wood’s premiership Tissot 1853 Chronographic Automatic watch, engraved with ‘AFL 2016 Premiers’ on the back, was also taken.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au

That's terrible.

Burglaries must be down though, with everyone home all the time? They must have been watching the house, that's creepy.

Not good. Hopefully they track down the items and catch the mongrels.

I might ask a few of my dodgy mates if they could get their hands on a premiership medal for me, arrange a pickup and turn up with a half a dozen of said dodgy mates with sticks and see how many times we can belt him with them before he hands Easton's medal back.
