Liberatore's breakout year came in 2013 when statistically, he was the best inside player of the competition. Liberatore took his game to the elite level in 2014, winning the Club's best and fairest. The father-son’s hardness in and under the packs pays dividends and greatly assists the Bulldogs in gaining first use of the ball in stoppages. The Calder Cannons recruit was drafted (father-son selection) by the Bulldogs in the second round of the 2010 AFL Draft (pick 41 overall). After a knee injury cruelled his 2015 season, Liberatore bounced back in 2016 to be an instrumental part of the Club's finals run. Despite a late-season ankle injury, Liberatore bounced back to play all four finals, and be a key member of the Club's AFL Premiership side. A second ACL injury in the opening round of the 2018 season saw Liberatore miss the remainder of the year, before returning in 2019 for 15 senior appearances averaging 21 disposals and four tackles per game.

He's been really solid and provides a good point of difference to his fellow midfielders. I'd like us to use his kicking more, and I'd like him to get out of the habit of throwing the ball because the umpires have been looking out for it for a while now.

I think he is very close to an A grader when at full fitness. He certainly is a clearance king

Defiantly an A grader. Look at what happened to the side the minute he came back. He frees up the others, blocks, get in opponent’s heads. Someone on this site after the last knee reco that we may never see Libba at his very best. I tend to agree but he is still an A grader and with out his injuries he could have been a superstar.

He's a fantastic player. 2 knee reco's just isn't fair. I'm so glad he's got himself back the way he has. He looked like he was labouring big time in 2017 for what ever reason and I thought that he might be the type of person that footy isn't that important to him anymore and he'd retire early, especially considering he'd won the ultimate prize. Well as it turns out I couldn't be more wrong. After doing his knee the second time he came back a driven man. Last year with all his lingering knee issues he didn't let it end his career. To come back this season and not miss a game since returning to the seniors is a testament to the person he really is and a testament for his love of the RWB.
He is so important to our chances this year. He often sets the tone and as mentioned is barometer to how we are travelling. When he's on our chance of winning go up substantially.

Definitely an A grader in my books. And loving his new do, a tribute to Libba Snr :D He's such a loose unit

Libba is such an important player for us. I always feel more confident when he is playing. What the heck I love the Liberatores.

Best hands in the business & clearance king. His hands are always talked about but his kicking barely gets a mention. I think he is a very under rated kick & whenever he has the ball in his hands i'm confident he'll hit a target.
