View Full Version : Airport Toyota - Platinum Partner
Looks like we have our new back-of-jumper sponsors now.
The Western Bulldogs are proud to announce that Airport Toyota has joined the Club as a platinum partner for the 2021 season.
As part of the partnership, Airport Toyota will have the naming rights of the Club’s Performance Centre at VU Whitten Oval, while coach Luke Beveridge will be an ambassador for the brand.
Pasquale Scaturchio, Airport Toyota Dealer Principal, is excited about this new partnership and being involved with a club that has such a rich history.
“We are thrilled to have secured a partnership with the Western Bulldogs, a football club that shares similar values to our own. Airport Toyota are passionate about the community and creating partnerships with organisations with the same foundations of dedication and excellence.
“The link between the AFL and our parent company, Toyota Australia, is widely known and it is this connection that helped inspire this partnership. We are all very excited and look forward to working with the Western Bulldogs in the years to come.”
With Airport Toyota being located at Essendon Fields in the north-west of Melbourne, the partnership creates great synergies between the two brands.
“Forming a partnership with Airport Toyota, which is based in our heartland, provides a fantastic opportunity for our club, our members and fans and the team at Airport Toyota to achieve great things together in 2021 and beyond,” said Western Bulldogs Chief Commercial Officer Nick Truelson.
“According to Nielsen Insights there are close to 70,000 Western Bulldogs fans exploring purchasing a new car in the next 12 months, so we’re pleased to be able to give them an opportunity to benefit from our new partnership with such a reputable global vehicle brand.”
Airport Toyota will provide Bulldogs members and fans with fantastic deals all year round, and to kick off the partnership they will offer free servicing for two years on any vehicle purchased by March 31, 2021.
Dogs fans can use the code WB21 when connecting with the friendly team at Airport Toyota, and can keep an eye on the Club’s Marketplace platform (https://www.bulldogsmarketplace.com.au/?utm_source=WBcomau&utm_medium=navmenu&utm_campaign=marketplace) for more great deals across the year

A bit different to have a single dealership as a sponsor, they obviously sell a **** ton of Hilux' over at Airport Toyota!

I doubt they will be on the jumpers. Platinum is the third tier of sponsorship. There are already 5 platinum sponsors and 5 premier sponsors above them.

Thought the same thing to be honest, very weird to have a single dealership but they must be doing well.. Curious as this is only for the next 12 months, wonder if it's a trial run before an extension or we'll be looking for something more permanent in the meantime.

Alright, im an idiot. We still don't have a back of jumper yet?

Those low player numbers are going to look weird if we can not get someone before rd 1. Lets hope the commercial team have a deal on the boil

We are increasing our reach in the north-west. Go Dogs! We have the sons of the west program run in Sunbury (City of Hume), City Of Whittlesea and now this deal with Airport Toyota (Moonee Valley) and to the east with our daughters of the west program and the East West club :)

We were sponsored by Mercedes Trucks and vans and in particular the big ute, but Mercedes don't make them anymore.

Not great.
Big Friday night opener vis Pies, Good Friday, Bont, Naughton, Bazlenka, Marra, the growth corridor of Victoria's west. If you can't sell that to a sponsor, you're struggling.
We knew Mercedes was pulling out of the Aus market ages ago, seems very strange we haven't arranged a replacement 2 weeks before the season starts.
Maybe we can pool together funds and get a WOOF logo?

St Kilda does not yet have a front of guernsey sponsor whilst I noted in the last few days that quite a few teams have not filled the new top of the back space available for sponsorship. It's a tough market but yes still very disappointing.

This is what I was afraid of the longer we heard nothing from the club.
It must be a fine line between selling the space too cheaply and holding out for the right deal though.
It is almost as strange as seeing Shubman Gill open the batting for India without a bat sponsor in a country where companies are surely throwing bucket loads of cash at their batsmen.

Maybe its time to contact companies in the sub continent about sponsorship. with the vast number of immigrants from there living in the west surely someone would be interested.
