Thanks BAD I would have missed this otherwise.
On another note, how bad is the set-up at Marvel in terms of gate entry in correlation with where you're sitting? It's a ridiculous setup and no wonder many still aren't going to the footy, especially the elderly or all abilities. We had to walk right around the stadium to enter via gate 2 yesterday and then walk halfway across the ground to our seats when realistically we should be entering in gate 5 or 6.
Don't get me started on how they are sectioning off the stadium AND not operating many of the ramps/stairways/escalators. If they had a fire in the building, we'd be stuffed.

Yes we were the same. Entered Gate 2 to sit in aisle 29, ie opposite side of ground.

THE MATCH DAY TICKET IS ABOUT TO RETURN TO THE AFL (https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/05/18/the-match-day-ticket-is-about-to-return-to-the-afl/)
The match day ticket is about to return to the AFL.
SEN.com.au can reveal the box offices at the MCG and Marvel Stadium are set to re-open as early as next weekend.
The ban on buying a ticket to the footy on the day of the game at the window has irritated some fans, who point to the Covid-enforced complexity surrounding ticketing as the reason for low attendances.
But the AFL is pushing for the return of the match-day ticket, removing another hurdle in the attendance process.
The time-honoured tradition is expected to return either next weekend or in Round 12 in time for the Essendon-Richmond Dreamtime at the ‘G clash at the MCG.
The AFL a fortnight ago received government approval for a return to 85 per cent capacity at Victoria’s footy venues, which also paved the way for supporters to return to their reserved seats from Round 9.
Reduced capacity in stadiums and within individual seating bays had seen thousands of fans unable to sit with family and friends in the seats they had paid for and occupied for years.
But the league was able to restructure the seating configuration to ensure a return to normal arrangements.
Fans are now able to download a digital membership card from their club on their smart phone to gain entry without having to register for seats.

Booked carparking at the Marvel Stadium carpark for our next game there against Melbourne. Will be going with mum who is a Demons supporter for that one.
Will be my first time going into the carpark there as normally for the games we play at Marvel I get dropped off and picked up so might be an another option in driving there myself for future matches.

Has your chauffeur got the night off Easty?
FYI you can usually get much cheaper parking nearby if you are willing to walk about 10 minutes.

People are just not going to the footy at the moment. Ticket boxes will be open again this week, so walks up may boast the numbers.

We had 21k against them in 2019. 20k in 2018. It was 34k in 2017 and 37k and 26k in 2016.
So 28k in 2021 in a pandemic isn't too bad I don't think. Crowds are down everywhere. I get we are flying at the moment so you'd expect more but I think this is more to do with COVID than anything else.

It's hilarious to me that we talk about Melbourne and Richmond fans "not wanting to make the trip". It's the same friggin city 2 train stations away. How fickle can their fans be? If we finish top 2 and get a home final against one of them we have the right to play it at Marvel. Won't happen though.

For me it is a pain in the back side coming from inner north west to the MCG.
Entire loop and get off at Flinders street and change to Richmond.
I can see how some supporters wouldn't bother.

I suppose I'm just used to it coming from the east. I agree it's a lot nicer getting off and on at Richmond and avoiding the whole loop but it would never stop me going to an exciting game. Sunday evening, yeah. But the train trip in general puts me off.

Best investment I’ve made recently is some high quality noise cancelling headphones. Does not completely stop noise such as the inane loud music but does take the harsh edge off it. Regarding travel to mcg vs marvel I think if you truly love your team you should be prepared to travel a few more stops to holler your support. Plenty of good eating places in city if you want to travel in earlier too. I reckon there will be plenty of dogs supporters there on Friday night, some diehard Dees and a fair few neutrals who are anticipating a good game.

Ticketing Tips | Home member access for Round 11
The essential information for home access members ahead of Tuesday’s member on-sale for Friday night’s (28 May) Sir Doug Nicholls Round home match against Melbourne.
Western Bulldogs home members with Marvel Stadium access, will be eligible to redeem a ticket to Friday night’s home match against Melbourne.
The home game will be the Bulldogs fourth at Marvel Stadium in season 2021. Bulldogs home members will have access to redeem tickets on Tuesday afternoon (25 May) with the general public ticket on-sale from 1pm, Wednesday (26 May) subject to availability.
Different to earlier 2021 home games, members will now be able to book up to 10 tickets per transaction, including guest passes. The transaction limit has been increased from six tickets per transaction.
The Club is also pleased to confirm that each member category will have access to set guest pass prices for the remainder of the season.
Below is the essential information you’ll need to redeem your ticket as part of Tuesday’s member priority on-sale window, via Ticketmaster.
1. Your home member barcode
You will require your HOME member barcode?to redeem your ticket for Friday night's (28 May) match against Melbourne.? An email will be sent to all home access members on Monday morning (May 24) containing this.
If you have not received this email by Monday afternoon, please contact membership@westernbulldogs.com.au?with your correct email address using the subject line ‘please update my email’.
Members can check their individual barcodes?themselves too?via their?MyBulldogs?account here.?
2. Home club member on-sale window
Western Bulldogs home access members will have the opportunity to redeem their ticket across one of three?on-sale windows, opening on Tuesday afternoon (25 May) and all closing at?9am, Wednesday 26 May.?These on-sale windows are as follows.?
Tuesday, 25 May, 1pm: Western Bulldogs Members
· 1pm | Priority 1 - Gold Members
· 3pm | Priority 2 - Silver Members
· 5pm | Priority 3 - Bronze, Country, Interstate, Ballarat Members
All?off-sale?at?9am Wednesday 26 May?
The on-sale windows for each respective membership category?are?expected to have minimal impact on the subsequent windows.?Seats will be withheld to ensure tickets are available for each priority window.?The?Priority 1 window is reserved for Gold Members (Level 2 seating), Priority 2 for Silver Members and Priority 3 for Bronze, Ballarat, Interstate and Country members.??
Gold members looking to redeem a ticket* on Level 2 will be required to pay a $10 stadium fee per seat ($5 for juniors). Alternatively, Gold members can redeem a ticket at a $0 fee on Level?3*.?
Silver members looking to redeem a ticket* on Level 1 will be required to pay a $10 stadium fee per seat ($5 for juniors). Alternatively, Silver members can redeem a ticket at a $0 fee no charge on Level 3*.?
Bronze, Country, Interstate and Ballarat 4 game members will be able to redeem a ticket at a $0 fee on Level 3*.?To redeem?a $0 ticket, members?must select?the?section Level 3 and?then?choose a seat(s) in either the Premium or Beyond Premium category, subject to capacity.?
Stadium fees for Gold and Silver members were previously built-in to the cost of reserved seat memberships and have been removed in 2021. This new on-demand ticketing fee structure ensures members only pay for games they attend.?A Western Bulldogs membership in 2021 will cost an average of $16 less per game than the equivalent membership products of other Marvel Stadium tenant Clubs,?even?once the $10 stadium fee has been applied.?
?*Subject to capacity?
3. Tickets will be on-sale via Ticketmaster?
Tickets for this home match at Marvel Stadium are available via?Ticketmaster. If you don’t already have a?Ticketmaster account, we recommend you set one up now. If you do have?Ticketmaster account, be sure to login and check that all your details are correct. It’s better to reset?your password now than have trouble logging in on the day.?
As part of an enhanced effort to support contract tracing, a name and mobile number must be supplied for every ticket that is purchased or redeemed. For juniors and dependents without a mobile phone, a parent or guardian may supply their number instead.?
4. Booking tickets to sit with family and friends?
You will be able to book up to ten (10) tickets in one transaction. If you plan to book tickets for multiple family members in the one transaction, or to secure seats with friends, you will need to submit each home barcode as part of the booking process to sit together.??
Members wishing to sit together must have the same tier of membership product. Gold members can only book with Gold members to access Level 2 seating; Silver members can only book with Silver members to access Level 1 seating; Bronze, Interstate, Country and Ballarat members can only book with one another to access Level 3 seating.
5. Digital ticketing only, member cards won’t get you access?
Unlike previous seasons, AFL matches in 2021 will be fully ticketed and fully digital. To access the?stadium?you will need to use the digital ticket issued to you by Ticketmaster.
Members will not be able to scan into games using their membership card due to contact tracing and social distancing restrictions. Ensure you save your tickets on your phone so you’re ready for match day.?
If you’re a last-minute decision-maker, you can redeem tickets at the game and on game day, from your phone?via Ticketmaster or the Ticketmaster App.
6. Accessible Seating?
Please contact Ticketmaster’s Accessible Seating Line if you have wheelchair, companion card or special needs booking requirements.
Ticketmaster’s Accessible Seating hotline is 1300 446 925 or you can email your requests to accessibletickets@ticketmaster.com.au. Please ensure you include the event name, venue, date and time along with your contact details.?
The Ticketmaster Accessible Bookings team are available 9am–8pm (AEST) Monday to Friday, and 9am–5pm (AEST) Saturday and Sunday seven days a week.?
7. EJ Whitten Social Club Room won’t operate at Round 11?
Due to Marvel Stadium’s COVID safe plan, movement within the stadium is limited to the segment in which you are seated. As such, access to the Victory Room is not possible for EJ Whitten Social Club members across the stadium as it has been in previous seasons.
Based on this, and AFL recommendations, we will not have a Social Club room for Saturday’s Round 11 match.
This will be reviewed on a round-by-round basis. For any queries regarding EJ Whitten Social Club email?membership@westernbulldogs.com.au?or call 1300 46 36 47.?
8. Member scarf and cap collection
For members that chose to use their $20 Bulldog Shop voucher to redeem a 2021 member scarf or cap, a reminder that collection is only possible from VU Whitten Oval and is not available at match day. Members can also choose to have it shipped to them for the cost of postage.
Have you got any further questions?
If you have any further questions regarding Round 11 match access, or using your 2021 membership, please?email??membership@westernbulldogs.com.au?or visit our online?FAQs.?

Surely we're past preventing teams from entering. With such little cases I think we can have teams come in, stay in hotels, come out to train and play and then leave again.
We'll see what happens but I hope they don't change our games around too much. We have a bye after our first trip to WA. It'd be unfair for them to move things around where we have to play straight after our game against freo and then return 2 weeks later to front the eagles. Playing Freo, then Eagles then the bye would be fine but require a lot of manoeuvring from the AFL.

Conservative & wise approach Eastdog.
Should current indications remain - that crowds will be permitted- I think AFL will require wearing a masks and even if they do not I’m going to wear one. In Adelaide 2 weeks ago you had to wear a mask when in stadium & moving around and could only remove once in your allocated seat. Almost 100% compliance from what I observed.
Our crew have made the call that we aren't going this Friday, regardless of the crowds/crowd capacity permitted.

Yeah, it seems palatable to me. 5 day lockdown in Victoria, games played in front of no fans, bye the week after, we cross our fingers and hope this shit passes so we can proceed as scheduled. By bringing the bye forward, you also give the league time to formulate a contingency if it all goes south.

Every state has to deal with the vax roll out and quarantine, yet only Victoria seems to get hit with significant outbreaks.

Members-only crowd allowed for Cats-Dogs clash
By AFL Media
A crowd of up to 7000 fans will be allowed to attend Friday night's Geelong v Western Bulldogs clash at GMHBA Stadium, after the Victorian Government announced that COVID-19 restrictions would be eased.
However, all spectators must be club members and live in the regional areas close to Geelong, acting Premier James Merlino said on Wednesday afternoon.
No Geelong or Western Bulldogs fans who live in Melbourne will be allowed to attend the game.
The Club is awaiting confirmation of ticketing allocations for Bulldogs’ members living in and around the Geelong region, and will communicate information to those members in due course.
More to come.

I'm going to drive down to Geelong at half time, order a Rippa Roast from across the road from XYZ Stadium and then, when everyone piles out of the ground I might followed them to the Barwon Club for a pint before driving home.

Following that logic if the crowd was capped to say 10,000 at Marvel only metro members could attend?
I believe that 7,000 is about 20% of the stadium capacity.

When I exited the carpark I didn’t have to scan out again last Sunday. The boom gate was already up. Could be different this Sunday. Only scanned the QR code when I entered the car park.
No, several years back they stopped the scanning on the way out as it caused even more of a jam. The gate is always up at the end of the game to get out.

Scalpers swoop on sold-out AFL finals in Tasmania
Anthony Colangelo
By Anthony Colangelo
Ticket scalpers are taking advantage of Tasmania’s lack of scalping legislation, selling seats to this weekend’s elimination finals at inflated prices.
Both the Western Bulldogs v Essendon and Sydney v GWS finals at the UTAS Stadium in Launceston have sold out after going on sale on Monday.
Since then, tickets have popped up on a re-sale website and are being touted for as much as $280 a seat. Face value for week one finals tickets range from $35 to $90.
UTAS Stadium’s usual capacity is close to 20,000 but is only allowed a maximum of 10,000 for the elimination finals.
The other two finals for the weekend will be played at Adelaide Oval in front of a 15,000 capacity crowd.
South Australia, like Victoria, has laws that heavily limit the price a re-sale ticket can be inflated to. Tasmania has no such legislation.
On its website the AFL says it tried to monitor re-sale sites and where possible they can “cancel tickets that can be identified when advertised above face value”.
The AFL has been contacted for comment.

Holy hell, that was stressful. I couldn’t physically get the transactions to process before the site timer would run out- the credit card processing would just spin it’s wheels and go nowhere. Looks like the bulldogs allocation is gone (they gave us a measley five and a half bays I think).
Not sure if any processed. Fingers crossed I get an email.

So it took a while to come through, but I eventually got an email saying that one of the trillion transactions must have actually been processed (despite them all timing out).
I managed to get 5 tickets together and (randomly) one adult in the next bay. Not a massive drama as my boy usually sits on a lap so he can see.
*Side note: I don't get that it has been called a "sell out" if there are potentially unused allocations going to sale on Thursday. Wouldn't all allocations be exhausted for it to be a sellout?

Hey all,
I now have one Adult ($65) and one child ($20) Prelim tickets available in Row G, directly behind the goals at the Northern end (a bay allocated to the Dogs).
I’d like to see them end up in Bulldogs hands if possible and would rather not separate, thus posting here. I am pretty sure child tickets can be upgraded to adult at the gate (or just pass on through when it’s really busy).
Let me know if you or someone deserving you know would like them (before I offer them up elsewhere).
Cheers

Well everyone, as a West Australian Dogs fan I'm absolutely fired up as we head towards the 4th quarter. Don't wanna jinx us but it looks like we're on our way to another gf. Unfortunately as I'm not a member, my chances of getting tickets to the granny are slim to none with only 10,000 tickets available to the Perth public. This is why I ask, if anyone on here doesn't intend on using their membership code to buy tickets, I'd be absolutely thrilled if you'd let me use it to get a fellow Dogs fan into the granny.

Just a heads up to all WOOF members, if the 2016 experience is duplicated we could have a number of new people joining and then some others rejoining the site after long absences just to secure tickets from WOOF members.
Please tread carefully if you choose to assist because in some cases you may not necessarily be helping out another Bulldogs supporter.

Western Bulldogs Member Access To 2021 Toyota AFL Finals Tickets & Member Barcode Use
Based on Western Australian state border restrictions as of 24 hours prior to the first Grand Final on-sale, only Western Bulldogs members who reside in Western Australia OR reside in states with open borders to WA should be eligible to purchase tickets for the 2021 Toyota AFL Grand Final. Currently Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania have open borders to Western Australia (Updated: 11 September 2021).
Due to current border closures and the on-going COVID-19 situation within New South Wales and Victoria in particular, the Club understand and acknowledge that the majority of our membership base will be unable to access the game.
However, access member barcodes will be active for the member on-sale on Tuesday. Sharing your member barcode is at the discretion of the individual member such that friends, family or colleagues in Western Australia (or states with open borders to Western Australia) can utilise it in the on-sale allowing more people Made of Red, White & Blue to attend.
If you have recently changed address or reside in a location that allows you to attend the match, please note that your membership barcode will also enable you to access the club member priority on-sale.
Priority On-Sale Windows and Purchasing Tickets
There are two/three priority on-sale windows for Western Bulldogs members on Tuesday 14 September.
The Priority 1 window is for all eligible access members in Western Australia, members in states with open borders to Western Australia, and Charles Sutton Premiership Circle members.
The Priority 2 on-sale window is for EJ Whitten Social Club members.
The Priority 3 on-sale window is for all other Western Bulldogs access members.
Members can purchase one (1) ticket with each membership, up to a transaction limit of eight (8) tickets. You will need a membership barcode for each ticket you intend to purchase.
Please note that memberships will only be activated to purchase tickets in their respective and subsequent priority windows. Only memberships that fit the Priority 1 criteria detailed above, can purchase tickets in the Priority 1 window.
Priority 1 members will be given an exclusive two-hour window to purchase their ticket to guarantee access. Any Priority 1 member who does not purchase in the designated time frame (9am-11am AWST) or elects to purchase with a Priority 2 or Priority 3 member will have waived their right to a guaranteed ticket. Priority 1 members can purchase a ticket outside their guaranteed window, however their access to a ticket is no longer guaranteed.

I'm an EJ member living in SA (Open borders) - am i priority 1 or 2?
As i said didnt get an SMS at all

Although I’m gutted to be missing out like all Woofers unable to have the freedom, I’m happy to help you out with mine if things don’t work out T&T? I have the Club email with barcodes.

G'day woofers. Hoping for the best here but I would love to be able to go to the game with the wife and the 2 kids and support the mighty doggies. I reckon the crowd will be on the dirty demons bandwagon so the more doggies supporter the better! I've only just signed up to this forum as I'm not much of a forums kinda guy and wasn't keen on using my work email address but being able to support the doggies in the GF gave me all the encouragement I needed!

I would love to help with mine, however, a family member in Perth has hit me up.
Quick question, in lieu of a certain level of online literacy it's best I do the purchasing. With this being the case, should I put the ticket in his name?

My wife's nephew working in Tassie for a year or so and I have offered him my barcodes. He is working on airfares and accommodation and looks like he will go, otherwise I would have been happy to give to another woofer.

I’ve heard about scammers getting barcodes and then selling them on to parties obviously not known to the actual member. I just thought I’d let members know so they can make informed decisions about giving them away to people they don’t know. Hopefully they don’t waste their time here with active law enforcement among the membership here.

I have provided our 2 social club barcodes to a dogs supporting friend of friend in WA, hopefully 2 more voices for the cause.
Spent over an hour and a half trying to get through to the membership department, have not received any emails and wish to pass on details to WA member.
Three times now after being on hold for 20-30minutes they just hang up.
Sent email and received an automated reply to check my details online( did and they are correct), this is all after several weeks ago asking them to check to see why my son gets emails and I don’t.
Received emails for the next two weeks and now not again.
Really shite from the club.

I can't believe my luck to be honest living in Perth and a life long doggies fan, I missed out on 2016 due to a late week job offer I couldn't turn down.
I watched our boys lose that lead in '97 prelim to Adelaide on my 18th birthday.
I am so grateful to my eastern state bulldog angel that has provided me with barcodes for the chance to go.
Don't think for one minute I don't feel for all you guys in lockdown or unable to go, I'll definitely be cheering for you all if I get the chance to support our boys home

Hi Woofers.
Do you think doggies allocation of 10 or 12k will sell out by 5pm tomorrow? I’d much rather at minimum doggy supporters, even if they are not club members, hopefully wear our colours & cheer our team than have leftovers added to Thursday’s tix for general public.

There are already stories coming out of WA Demons members missing out because Melbourne based members gave away/sold their barcodes to non-supporters based in WA who exhausted the allocation before it got to priority 3 window. Bloody shame and it's why we should all be careful to vet who we give barcodes to!
