We could’ve had him for nothing after the GF. It was down to Richmond and us, they convinced him more about what he could do in their team and vision. We had Boyd, Roughy & Campbell and didn’t go as hard. A shame it’s never really been a burning priority.

I’d be surprised if they don’t lose their bundle now, St Kilda. Max King took one half decent mark for the commentators to gush. And can go into their review telling the coaches effort was there for a while. Even blame the stretcher for breaking their concentration.

Comparing our tallest intercept defender to their full forward, they’re in trouble… :D

At least Josh tries for a second effort and is a deadly accurate shot. King is going at less than 50% and doesn’t understand the concept of a second effort. I don’t get the gushing over him for so very, very little.

It remove one of the advantages we had against them but in simple terms if we beat them the next we play we are in an even stronger position. I agree it's anyone's flag but we are well placed.

Yes they have improved.
We beat them by 130 and then by 28. Did they improve THAT much or we just weren’t mentally there and just thought we needed to turn up ? I think Essendon are in that mind frame too. Gradual improvement doesn’t cause that much of a scoreboard turnaround.
